Big Fev questions what happened to Carlton

In the Border Mail (Fairfax publication) Fev writes a weekly column. Today it is "What happened to Carlton?"

Fev has gone BANG!!! I can't find a link but here is a summary.

- Murphy needs more help from other players. He thinks Murph is a superstar. Judd coming back will help so he is not getting the number 1 tagger.
- Gibbs will go back to Adelaide. His best mate Sammy Jacobs is there, Betts is there and the home/family factor is the biggest thing. Fev can't see him staying at Carlton
- When he was sacked by the blues he was shattered because he thought he would miss out on premiership number 17
- Losing to Melbourne was embarrassing
- In a year the club is celebrating its 150 years, at 0 and 4 there is nothing to celebrate
- There is nothing for fans to cheer about as there are no rising stars coming through
- MM should have played JW and JG last week
- MM is frustrated and doesn't have the cattle
- Recruiters have a lot to answer for, haven't picked a forward since he left, they keep picking midfielders
- Forwards win finals, they are the difference in big games
- Should have kept Eddie, Dale Thomas gets his occasional big specky and 15 touches and won't win you a game off his own boot
- Judd/Kennedy trade - Judd is a superstar but so is Josh Kennedy. Blues might have a premiership now with JK in the side
- Club needs to question Brock, Scotland and Carrazzo staying on the list
- Board has more leaks than a sieve
- Sticks was only meant to be president for 6 months and still there now. Need to find the right person to replace him

Fev seems to think it was because we couldn't afford him. However we go and spend $700K on Daisy therefore we could afford him.

Well I agree with that. Getting Thomas makes no sense to me at all on a number of levels.

Fev is right with most of his points, for all intents and purposes we thought we were picking midfielders. We have been so inept that we don't realise that fretting over our needs has only made things worse.
