No matter what we think they about the job they are doing, I just wish some people would show some RESPECT to quality Carlton individuals.
Unlike others who have put themselves before the footy club, this bloke has tried his best, both on and off the field. At the very least bleeds Navy Blue - RESPECT!

you automatically lose the right to respect when u take a job for the 150th birthday and make it your farewell lap after you have been involved in every bad decision the club has made for 16 years as an administrator.. jumping off one platform to the next.
besides there is nothing about sticks that does not obviously scream STUPID and a pub punter...
just a terrible choice... even fev think so.... and fev aint einstein

Spot on. Telling the world that he was only staying on for the 150th just shows where their priorities are. Also, saying that nobody at the club ever mentioned flags is a lie. Synbad posted Sticks' letter prior to 2011 season and the stated objective was to win 2 by 2015. Every other objective in the letter has also fallen by the wayside.

Until all those associated with this mess exclude themselves from the club & get a team in that has the number 1 focus on player & fan development I will not be neither attending or watching this shit!

It's amazing how fickle we are. A win & no one cares about Sticks or all the other evils that were so apparent when we were without a win.

My point is that we, as loyal fans get what we deserve. A win here and there buys more time for the President, Board and Administration. I have to say I am disappointed. I'm still far from convinced this club gets it. We are just 1 loss away from the veil being lifted again on the inherent weaknesses our club clearly has.

You can call me negative if you like but 1 win changes nothing for me. I'm afraid the win, as badly needed as it was is only delaying the inevitable overhaul that is so badly required.

As you may be aware, this season marks my last as President, having served my full tenure as a Director and since November last year the Carlton Board has been working on a succession plan to elect a new President.

The Carlton Football Club means so much to me and it has been with great pride that I have served on our Board.

Now the time has come for another passionate Carlton person to take the reins, and I am pleased to announce that person will be Vice-president Mark LoGiudice, who will officially succeed me as President on June 23 of this year.

Mark has been a lifelong Carlton member and a supporter of the coterie group ‘Carltonians’ for more than 19 years. He is a strong businessman with a wealth of experience. He chairs our Club Member Venues Sub-committee and is an integral part of our Finance, Audit and Risk Sub-committee.

By having Mark lead us from June, the timing is right to begin planning and making decisions for our immediate and long-term future.

I will work closely with Mark over the next few months and remain on the Board as a Director until the end of the AFL season to finalise a smooth transition.

This is a significant moment in time for our football club in its historic 150th year. Please join with me in congratulating Mark on this appointment, which will see him lead our great club through the next chapter of its rich history.

Yours sincerely

I hope he is not the bean counter / cost cutter type of guy. We will need to invest in a few areas off field.

sticks has left MM a strong list and financially viable club to work with Mr S. that you would have to agree with

Did you see how well the blues played in the last 2 weeks? In spite of carrying Daisy in those games and having a coaching handicap in the box
