Hard to see us digging ourselves out of the shit we find ourselves in with no young players coming through as we move forward.

This graphic was from On The Couch on Monday.

It's an ugly sta-STICKS-tic.

Shits me when graphs aren't started at zero.

But we have 5 other rookies 24 or under & another 9 @ 25yrs this year on the senior list.

Great, lets use that logic for the other 17 clubs as well.

I think we are more than a few standard deviations from the mean, extremely depressing statistics.

Although I think we are way ahead the league average in half back flankers.

Lets! Awaiting your report.
It's not all about the number of players of a certain age but if they can play as well. If we had 15 & they were all regular senior players there wouldn't be any issue. A team of our under 24yrs or under isn't too bad on paper but most haven't reached the heights expected of them.
The list age will change a fair bit again next year.

Easily solved. Retire everyone over 30 and recruit 10 kids. Watch the graph change.

Yet we are fine. Just lacking confidence.

FFS that is result of poor list management and recruiting. Nothing else.

Have you read your own signature?

What sort of people frequently occupy the seats of board rooms all around the world?

Do they lack confidence?

Do we have a stat on how many times the phrase "stick fat" was used?

Um... the burden of proof is on you since you are the one bringing rookies and 25 year olds into it. We are not playing very well and we can't blame it on having a young side - quite the opposite. I'd say it was pretty damning, yeah.

Didn't watch it. Did he actually say that?

Question 1
Sticks: Look, we're nought-4, let's put that right on the table, and we just need to stick fat.

Question 2
Sticks: Look, we're nought-4, let's put that right on the table, and we just need to stick fat.

Question 3
Sticks: Look, we're nought-4, let's put that right on the table, and we just need to stick fat.

Question 4
Sticks: Murph is a young captain, he's only 26 has played only 160-odd games and is working really hard. We just need to stick fat.

Question 5
Sticks: Look, we're nought-4, let's put that right on the table, and we just need to stick fat.

Look at us leading the way! Finally we are not followers - we have found that older players are better and are daring to take a chance. If only we were 4-0 rather than 0-4 to validate our innovative leadership....

It's a great marketing move. Trying to relate to the ageing population of this country.

I watched the Sticks segment for the first time last night...I didn't know whether to laugh or cry...so I did both. He tries Sticks...he really does...but he's out of his depth. Those in power (Pratts and Mathiesons) ought to be ashamed that they've let this sham carry on for so long. Having a President who wouldn't take sides...who probably doesn't have an original thought in his head when it comes to innovation at a football club.

I started to feel bad for Sticks. He loves the club...he's as loyal as a Labrador, but people have been pissing in his pocket for years.

How'd you feel about his wise crack of freezing your balls off @ Waverley? Got a laugh out of Jase.
