The good clubs tend to have consistency in their coaching

Kick has built sides before, he has seen crises before, he has more knowledge and experience than any other coach out there right now

If he can adjust his game plan, which he has done in the past most recently at Coll to win a Premiership, then he should continue. It doesn’t bother me if we take a backward step and he realizes he needs to change, so long as he changes. Consistency is important. Blues probably panicked sacking Ratten. Now we have Mick let’s stick with him, so long as he is not pig headed about his game plan. I think he is a dog that can learn new tricks. Of course time will tell.

Here’s a Qn … Why did it take other clubs 30 years to pick apart his game plan?

The change is going to start this weekend accordiong to Mick :

good one micky, players are shot because of your insipid game plan but now we will let the players play instinctively

what a manipulative sly old coote

blind faith have you worked it out yet?

I thought some of the questions he had to deal with last night were disrespectful in the extreme. Questions about his health etc.

I think Mick himself would acknowledge that his relationship with journos over the years would mean he less than anyone should expect any favourable treatment, but it was a bit beyond the line last night.

Questions about Mick in the box and his health were disgraceful to say the least.
I would not have been surprised if he had walked out on that interview or at the very least blown up at them.
He did well.

It was an embarrassment to so called journalism last night

If questions about age, health and coaching due to resentment of what happened at da pios were bad enough, the way they pressed to make him admit that the list is shit was disgraceful. Apparently Monga has been though our list lol... Gary asking about individual players and Hutchie the worm thinks MM is in denial about the state of our list. Monga had to mention to him that he may think like that privately... Huthcie "you may be right" :screwy:
The one thing they should've pressed him on was gameplan and tactics

MM is a coach and all the responsibilities that go with it but he's also a salesman, a promoter etc.
What would happen the moment any coach says publicly that the list is poor? He'll completely lose the players, sponsors will think twice, attendances will drop and we'll be lucky to sell another membership for the rest of the year.

But yeah Hutchie you hack... Mick is in denial.

Media are loving this distraction away from the drug cheats down the road in the Hangers of Tullamarine

Robbo was frothing at the mouth in Sun this week

Rohan Connolly couldnt get his boots in quick enough

I have no doubt that our dysfunctional board operates that way... but there is a bit of yeah/nah about rumours

Even Swann said something along those lines but hearing those words directly from the coach would be disastrous

Yes, they are.

That's why we desperately need new leadership and some direction. Right now, anyone who is disaffected (and there are a few) has got a very receptive environment to air grievances. It's a shambles.

Sorry, but no. Questions of that nature along those lines were uncalled for. Go as hard as you like on gameplans etc but it was getting into highly personal space last night which was inappropriate. Obviously Mick's a big boy but I was feeling for him last night.

I think the press have decided to see how far they can push him. the questions after the game on Saturday asking him to compare that loss vs Grand finals 12 years ago were crazy. No doubt he's contributed heavily to that environment, but I don't buy the 'bullying' angle any more, these journos are pushing him in ways they wouldn't with anyone else.

because some in here blamed Ratten for everything in 2012 (and beyond)

Now it has nothing to do with the Tsar Michail

2013 - zip 3
2014 - zip 4

and Robert Wiley directing

Players get off scott free once again - nothing to do with Judd's leadership mentoring, nothing to do with anything in the locker rooms or the training track

NOW ladies and Gentlemen we find out from the Great Andrew Walker after the brave loss to the mighty demons, that the blues head hunted Daisy Thomas because he is talkative and has some spunk out on the ground and could HELP Murphy as captain

Just like we went after the Great Brock MaClean, to act as a servant for Mr Judd - remember that mantra? Judd needed help.... ladies and gentlemen. Brock was the only man to do this - get Brock

Workrate and 1%ers, team sacrifices, lets get the basics right before we start dabbling into magic, sorcery, and superstition....

At the moment we are circus

and the rink master is trying to convert clowns into lion tamers and strong men

You must formally and sincerely apologise to the Great Brett Ratten Mr S...

for your own sake as a sentient being

Ratten gave it all he had - at great personal cost

pity not all the players did the same, and hid behind the curtain of mediocrity and lame excuses

Aha... these players were forced on Ratten... he never wanted them, their type, their skill set

If that's the case... sorry Ratts

I didn't say i agreed but Malthouse has intimidated journos for ages now and it has been a sore point with caro for a while now as she has mentioned it a few times, the latest only one or two weeks ago on the show.
She is a senior journo and has seen the opportunity to show micky that not everyone is enthralled by his temper tantrums and dismissive approach.
It was a planned attack and was executed well by a team that wanted to subject him to humility that he does to others not in a position to stand up for themselves.
Richo must be having a quiet giggle on the inside also.
