Brave Sir Robin ran away.
("No!")
Bravely ran away away.
("I didn't!")
When danger reared it's ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
("no!")
Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about
("I didn't!")
And gallantly he chickened out.

****Bravely**** taking ("I never did!") to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat.
("all lies!")
Bravest of the braaaave, Sir Robin!
("I never!")

Has never handled tags....ever. No athleticism or mongrel. A nice player but not elite.

Fair dinkum, watching that Mark Murphy post game interview made me think I was listening to a relaxation recording. How on earth could he fire up the team with his pep talks.

Why do we always see Carrazzo, Simpson or Walker talking to the team in the huddle and Murphy just standing off to the side?

FWIW, I think Hendo should be captain.

Are Henderson's pep talks better than Simpson, Walker and Carrazzo's?

Since he hasn't done any, perhaps that's why we don't look like winning a game.

Big communal hugs and kisses for the boyz, as they are really hurting. Thanks Marky Mark. You are an inspiration. It is amazing how you continually rise above the pack during adversity, showing the way. You are like the shepherd with a lantern showing them the way during a storm..

I actually feel for Murphy. You can cearly see that he is struggling to come to terms with the role and the fact that he has no other leaders to support him makes it even harder.
Judd carried this side for years, Murphy is not of that Ilk.

Easily the worst captain I have seen for us. Just way too soft. If the captain can get away with so much, what chance do we have for the rest of the team to stand up and be counted.

Yeap, plain as day he's not a captain. Not a slight on him, some people just don't make it.

Under whom did Murphy learn and develop his leadership skills?

He isn't a natural leader, so he had to learn most of the leadership skills he is displaying.

Do we have any natural leaders at the club ?

Simpson has it in spades! He should have always been captain

Just give it to 23 and be done. At least he looks like he cares. Never wanted someone to get smashed in a Carlton jersey as bad as I did today
