Looking back on those players from the last 20 years that are included, it is hard not to make the assumption that the admission cost for greatness at this club has taken a hefty discount -- more here http://www.footyalmanac.com.au/the-peoples-elbow-buzz-cut-how-the-champions-of-carlton-missed-the-mark/

Can you think of another club's top 150 list that can match ours?

I reckon St Kilda's and Footscray's would match ours.

We could consume many craft beers attempting to put a date on that John...but as I type I'm listening to Kernahan and rolling my eyes. The club that we knew is dead.

Like it. Like it a lot. Now that he's sold Betstar to Ladbrokes and made a very tidy sum of it, has the time on his hands.

StKilda's and Footscary's top 150 falls away after about the 30th player. No contest moshe (25).

Maybe Hawks, and the bombers can go with us until about pick 70. North had a golden 25 years, and has some great players in their top 20.

I reckon nobody can match the blues in the top 150 list. And that's with our disgraceful past decade

What we need badly is quality executive and board decisions, as well as innovative approaches and wise direction... Having time on their hands is irrelevant in my view.

You only need to look at Big Jack Elliott to see this. He performed far better in the first half or so of his presidency reign when he was very busy with elders and with the liberal party than later on when he had plenty of time on his hands...(you know when everything went pear shaped for him and for the blues)

We need a dynamic board, with all sorts of skill sets. That is the formula adopted by many board rooms around the world otherwise they tend to become stale, stagnant and self serving. Does that scenario ring a bell "the rhino"?

What? You reckon Thornton and Kreuzer would get into their top 150s?
