Remember this side never did any better than fifth under Ratten so it needs to be remembered the tem was never a great team by any means

Bit harsh, given that Ratten took over a team that had just won the wooden spoon, had it playing finals within two years and made three finals series in his five seasons as coach (would have been four had injuries not destroyed 2012). What were you expecting?

Sugarcane I'm on the same page. Many of our "better" players best years are behind them.

Add the fact they have been in an environment that has been TOXIC it has an impact

Waite 13 years
Simpson 12 years
Walker 11 years
Carazzo 11 years
Murph 9 years
Gibbs 8 years
Kruezer 7 years

Pagan, Ratts, MM revolving door.

Elliot, Collo, Smorgon, Pratt, Sticks - a shamble!

We will not progress until the off field situation is sorted.

And I'm afraid that Sticks is rushing towards his replacement
before the 150 celebrations. Trainor & LoGiudice Hardly inspire.

Actually I think he was commenting on our 1982 side

Very good point.

It's a bloody long time for a group to have been together without even reaching a prelim.

..we peaked and missed our prelim window....

..the wheels fell off the 2012 wagon before injuries really took hold.. ..gameplan got figured out and years of no plan B saw us crumble in plenty of games that year.. ..as per usual no key forward structure saw us flounder across half forward..

..as for now, obviously better players out or underdone will see team struggle but the problem is we are still a talent based team instead of a system based team, we play on inspiration instead of honest hard work..
