Effes this is a club problem.
If people don't understand that.
You don't understand the basics.
You can bring any coach in at this point... It's all over red rover for the next few years.
The have changed a few years ago and we didn't evolve with it.

Everything about the club us outdated.
This is a club that's being and has been ground into the dust.
I understand people are angry as the reality sets in.
But no coach can turn this club around without the exterminators moving into the club for the fumigation at the top.

Totally agree.

I suggest supporters speak to Michael Osborne (former hawk) and now and now in a development role with us and ask him to compare the professionalism and differences between us and the hawks. It is really frightening

We didn't just lose last night. We had our pants pulled down and fingers were inserted.

But that's not the worst bit. The worst bit is, this has been like a train on the horizon for the last two years coming straight at us. The CFC brass hasn't flinched, hasn't moved, has not acknowledged the freaking train, and now we're all spread out over the tracks.

The problems is the politics within the club. Like it's been said, they are cheats, sycophants and worse than all that, they are self-serving. Feathering their own nest while the players, coaches, and more importantly the fans, go cold outside in the dark.

The players have nothing to play for. We have nothing to support. We ought to march right in there and pull the board and everyone attached to the front office out by the hair.

be gentle with jeanies hair...might get unstuck.

look .. were taunting them.. i do it all the time.

i want them to get mad and prove me wrong... they dont.

they should just step aside
every last one of them

declare the seats open for whoever wants to run tickets.

sticks/Pratts and mathiesons should stay out of it...
just stand aside.. and let anyone have a go
elections

our club believes elections are a bad thing

wont happen

agree that off field issues need to be resolved quickly

however we have a major problem on field where we simply do not have enough quality to make any inroads to our next premiership

I'm starting to sound like a broken record but a full rebuild should have commenced by now

Not persisting with players who can't kick would be a good start

Damn right. We need to either extend Malthouse another 2 years, and make way for a full and utter rebuild, or turf him, and bring in the guy who will oversee our rebuild which starts now.

Any genuine rebuild starts with the front office standing down and allowing a full cultural and managerial overhaul by way of elections.

I also think one huge aspect which has skewered the AFL is the introduction of two new expansion teams, when the league and the nations talent pool/ stocks could only ever accommodate one expansion team, wait five years and start the second.

The amount of talent the GC & GWS are sitting on, and will ultimately have to release as they cannot pay everyone, is a blight on the game, imo ...

That comment worried me. Seriously???? Must of been the only one. The last three weeks have been pathetic. It could of been worse. Essendon* were toying with us.

The club has not heart or soul. It admin is a joke and the recruiting and development have been a blight for a decade or more.

If things don't change and change quickly we could be in the same position as Melbourne.

I'll still watch games on telly, but I'm not investing a cent in this club, or any emotional energy until they play some kids, start rebuilding and playing with some heart.

This group are not worth the pain any more.

Thank god I have other interests and avenues of enjoyment in life. I actually prefer watching other teams play as a netural supporter where you can enjoy the skill, natural talent, hardwork and teamwork of players who play for each other.

Being a stkilda supporter would be more enjoyable as they play some hungry talented kids and unashamedly rebuild.

We on the other hand are deluded.

I'd rather bottom out entirely and start again.

I think in 2007 us and Bombers fought out the wooden spoon and then in 2011 we thrashed them in a final, and now look where both teams are. It is hard to understand how we cd have stuffed up so badly for so long. Does anyone on the board actually like footy? It's obvious we need a clear out top to bottom, but that means a strong ticket challenging the board. Where is that coming from. I think everyone here feels powerless. I agree that no-one rated port as anything other than a basket case at the start of 2012, and now where are they. Of course MM needs to take responsibility. Ultimately it is his team and they reflect his ability to get the best out of them. No matter the deficiencies in talent, we are way off playing to the limit of our talent.

x2 Gez - it's soooooo concerning.

My 5yo and 3yo asks every morning after a night game 'how'd we go dad?' I hate seeing his face after I tell him, especially when his little mate is a Hawks supporter and is trying to convert him... BOOOOOOO

I've said in another thread that the board still has this outdated, misguided belief that "at Carlton we demand success, end of story".

At Carlton we demand effort, improvement, smart strategies and a true vision to take us forward. We're not the simple, apathetic peabrains they think we are.

AOD1964

port on the other hand, is the side we should be looking to simulate.

I know, as soon as I typed that I looked at our schedule. If we don't beat Melbourne next week we could realistically be 0 and 8 heading into our bye week.

Bulldogs, pies and eagles will take us to the woodshed. And on current form St kilda will probably do us too.

The fans have to take some of the responsibility too I reckon. The Bomber fans have shown us how to unite as one. We haven't done that for years. People in charge sh1t themselves over every decision. Lynch mobs everywhere. We have been crap since fan forums took off. We will get nowhere no matter who is in charge with our attitude. We are part of the clubs culture that is poison and it filters through to the playing culture.

- The people in charge should realise they are making too many errors to hold their spots and relieve themselves of their roles.
- Mick should see out his contract as a coach who is setting up a list for the next coach.
- Build a new list around Henda, Murphy, Gibbs, Thomas and Kruezer.
- We should unite as one and support the new crew. We wont get anywhere until we do this.

Time for the Board to take the heat on this season. Sticks, stand down my man! He is ultimately responsible for the clubs predicament.
