Or the Essendon* mids study very close where on the clock Warnock hits it.

Yeah, but I'd hope the first thing we'd be doing is asking 'What would we do if WE were THEM???????? :sly: :sly: :sly: '

Can't see any area on the ground we can beat them in with the possible exception of tap outs and clearances.

Our midfield is chock full of plodding slow mids. If they can get their running game going it will require the mids and defenders to have an outstanding defensive game. Can't see them having the tenacity and mindset to be able to absorb that kind of pressure.

If we do manage to somehow be patient with defense and attack on the rebound we don't have the cattle up forward to capitalise. Last week when our run got going and we went for shorter more deliberate kicks to players on the half back/wing area rather than bomb it long we still got up to about half forward and then just stopped running.

At best it'll be low scoring dour win to them otherwise it'll be a thrashing.

Never fear ... we have Dr Strangelove. We are tracking beautifully.

I hate losing to Essendon* ... Go BLUES!

I would be instructing Warnock to seek body contact with both Danaher and carlisle at every opportunity - he contrary to his nature should be looking to hurt

We just need to make it contested footy and we'll do well. If we roll the dice and try a shoot-out we'll get smashed.

Going in without a recognised ruckman is something I desperately hope we can capitalise on. If we don't - we're [REDACTED].

They may use the 3rd man up trick to knock the ball their way. If that's the case I hope we go 4th man up. Then they go 5th and we go 6th, them 7th us 8th and so-on.

Our advantage is they'll have to use either Daniher or carlisle which robs them of either a key forward or key defender. But even when they do that, 206 should have no trouble getting it to our mids - SURELY!!!

Imagine all 36 players trying to win the tap at the same time. That would be something

I think it's pretty clear that is what malthouse wants. Just don't think he will get it.

I don't Understand why Mick has totally snubbed off Scotland in his final year... He is a Senior player and is still Important to our team, he is far better than Mclean/Curnow/Ellard. I still rate him!!

Wasn't he injured as well during the pre-season? Thought there were more errors coming from Scotland last year and his elite kicking is a over stated. He's just as bad as most of the others when the heat is on but he certainly puts his body on the line down back. Think he'll figure in the 1's later down the track, maybe as the sub.

At this stage I'd prefer to see Buckley cement himself in the BP with Tuohy (though down on form) and Docherty off the HBF's, however the line-up is very inexperienced which the MC may not like in the back half. That would then leave a host of of running players like Walker, Thomas, Yarran, Everitt, Gibbs, Lucas, Menzel, Simpson to rotate through the wing/fwd line and back as required.

All I ask out of this game is we kick straight and hurt some Essendon* players.
