Carazzo. Grrrr, when are they going to learn? Oh well get used to kicks high up in the air.

Ellard, Curnow, Carazzo, McLean in the same side. No wonder we get torched..

We should play Lucas, yes disposal sometimes poor, but gives us some run..

You are right emtwenty as well, Graham should be in the team too.

He will provide leadership....and this is far and away the thing this team is lacking the most.

And why shouldn't it?

The reality is...we're a shadow of our former selves.....we used to be a proud club...now we are just so so nothings....our players continue to get pushed around and our club continue to make bad decisions.....

I am losing patience and I tend to be more of the oblivious 'i just love my club' types.

what a team, could be the worst team going around...
carrazzo hasn't played a game in what 6, 8 10 months and, straight back in, kidding,
will be lucky to run out a half, should have played in the twos and, get some match fitness...
mclean, should have been dropped after the little brat refused to show any leadership before and after he became
the sub....
bell, curnow, robinson, ellard and mclean all the same type, slow players with average skills...

Bench will be Bell, Ellard, Lucas, McLean

Carrazzo insurance for Robinson.

I would have dropped McLean for Graham and had Cachia in the squad.

This isn't US politics. You're not either 'with us or against us'.

You can want sweeping changes, want rid of the Olliewinesgarchs if you like, even accept and or wish that the team goes backwards for a while to grow.

You don't have to belittle, insult, misquote, flat out misrepresent what others are saying, or remove the reason many care about this sport: wanting, for just 2 hours to see your team win and share that feeling with your friends, family, kids, nieces or nephews. You don't need to repeat and browbeat the world into agreeing with you. Many already do, they're just @#$%&! sick of it too.

TC used to be a place to discuss the club - sometimes fiery - from a view of supporting the club. Now it is more anti- Carlton then the Scum boards . You get scorned for supporting Carlton.the moderators have stopped trying to curtail circle arguments, thread hijacks etc and every effing thread turns into a Carlton bashing. A pre game thread is now based on that we are getting bashed and venting about that - before the game FFS !!!!!

Note how new posters who are positive are getting bullied until they leave. Note how many regular posters hardly post any more. Me included - today I made the mistake to read this crap and I got mad. I'm very mad. TC used to be the first and last site I visited . Now? Phhh

Well said mikkey. Pretty much my thoughts as well. Particularly agree with you on the membership thing. Hopefully you stick around as you have been a quality poster since the start. I for one still enjoy going to watch the team on a weekly basis and I doubt that will ever change.

---

Surprised that Carrazzo would come straight back into contention without a game or two in the VFL. Hopefully Buckley can back up after last week as with Walker and potentially Simpson, they give us some pace coming out of the backline. Thomas should continue to get better with more game-time and Gibbs surely has to play better this week.

If Mclean plays, he better run, chase and hit everything in sight until he collapses.

Even better!

What is even worse is the little trolls on here that do nothing but place pathetic illogical and just plain stupid remarks against people just to make themselves better.

Talk football, argue points and importantly have an opinion but cut out the childish crap!

......anyway back to the game.

I hope McLean Robinson and Rowe miss out. Too many plodders. We all of a sudden look slow.

If we come with the same attitude as last week we are in trouble.

I think MM was always going to give this group collectively 3 weeks to get 4 qtr match fit. After this game with doggies and Melbourne it will be a different story though

what a complete and utter load of rhinoceros pizzle this thread has turned in to.

nothing shits me more than a self proclaimed positive pony coming in and whinging (being negative) about people being negative !! such oxymoronical behaviour

the negativity this site holds at the moment is a direct reflection of the fan environment the club has bred. the place is a basket case and quite frankly most people have had enough. There is only so many times you can go to the well and pull up the same bucket of shit infested water over and over again - you eventually punch yourself in the face and question why?

I have sunk so much money, time and energy into this football club and i get the same steaming pile of shit in return each year - poor performances, no engagement, a basket case of a business and empty promises - I've just about had enough - and quite clearly judging by this forum i'm not alone.

instead of whinging about negativity under the guise of being a positive pony - how about actually being positive? enlighten the ones in the dark about what is so good on your side of the fence? try and spread what you've got in your well - cos our wells are polluted.

i remember not so long ago this site was criticised for being full of sugar coaters and the mods were criticised for being employed by the club and censoring anti club speak………..??

which leads me to moderation and moderators -

we don't get paid, we are volunteers and most of us have had enough, we are running on the smell of an oily rag to keep this site going for 'the people' positive ponies and negative nellies alike. If anyone wants to be a mod feel free to contact one of us and tell us why - we have put the call out numerous times with underwhelming responses.

my view on moderation is less is more - circular arguments is a wanky jargon term like moving forward and 'the cloud' - people whinge about bullying - i see little example - people keep engaging certain posters and the debate continues - if we stifle all debate what are we left with? very little conversation full of fluff and no substance - i enjoy the debates.

moderation should be reserved for kiddy porn, flat out threats, violence, etc etc - the extreme - moderators shouldn't be free speech censors.

this is a website - it's not serious business.

i hope we win this weekend and smash the drug cheats into oblivion - i can't be confident though based on the evidence at hand

but go blues

Wow! So many poor kicks!! Weren't we on record pace for terrible disposal last week the commentators said???

Robinson, Lucas, Bell, Ellard, Warnock, McLean, Carrazzo, Curnow, Rowe, Casboult and White are all butchers of the ball - that is far too many poor kicks.

We had either 36 or 38 DIRECT kicks to the opposition last week. That won't change this week.

It's so noticeable when a player like Menzel, Thomas or Yarran have the ball. Positive things happen.

I'm certainly guilty of paying out on Gibbs and Yarran for being soft - but can't see how we could drop them for desperate need of kicking skills.

Tough players - no skill
Skilled players - not tough

Shockingly unbalanced list this week. Also quite tall with few genuine possession getters.

Yeah fair point Mikkey.

You'll see exactly the same comments pre-game R21 2013 after we were pumped by the dogs.
"play the kids'
'sakc Robbo/Warnock/Yarran'
'this season is stuffed'
'the MC have no idea' they all screamed.

One of the best wins we've had in decades came just hours later.

Give the boys a chance - you never know.
