So you'd drop the Rising Star nomination?

It's madness. This is one of the 5 or so games a year that are must-go games. Due to Essendon* being drug cheats and the time of the game - I just CBFd.

I'm going away on holidays for a week and would definitely normally wait until the day after to leave, but this year I'll be on the road when the game is being played and I couldn't care less.

It is later than a Twilight Game. It is a 7.10pm start. Experiencing a loss between Thursday night and Sunday night the week after is torture.

You're right, it's a night game.
Retarded fixturing.

Andy D's final year isn't looking any better than last year.

He's lost the handle on the game.

He was one of the few shining lights out of the Richmond game, he has to be rewarded with another game IMO.

Buckley has to play and needs to be played for every game of season unless form drops off badly as must Menzel
Rowe HAS to go and be left in VFL
Ellard McLean and Robinson skating on thin ice - prefer graham to be given a go
Hollywood Garlett one more chance

Can see where The Duke is coming from. You need to pick the right 22 and make sure your back 6 match up well with the opponents fwd 6. However, Buckley should be able to play on Howlett, Gleeson, Zac Merrett or another small fwd. There will be a match up for him.

If you've given up on the season then sure, play the kids as much as possible, but I think R2 is too early to tank, so pick the best side we can until it is mathematically impossible to make the 8.

McLean is too slow for the Bummers, Ellard should go again given we know he can run out a full game. Remember, these cheats have endurance - far more than us. The only way to win is to come as close as possible to their HGH enduced fitness.

Robbo is a wildcard. Yes, he's erratic, but he'll just as easily win a game off his own head. I want Robbo smashing through packs against these bastards. The MCG against the Scum is his bread and butter.

Menzel is all class - so he stays. Armfield has pace and endurance so he comes in.

I suspect you're right & that's what will happen - he'll play on one of those players - but at the expense of who? Is he better than Armfield? I know who'd I'd pick at this point in time.

last year we were 0/3 and we were 0/4 the moment we were 0/3., nobody gave us a chance out west but we did it just like we can beat these bastards this weekend., players will all lift and we will play 4 solid quarters and get home by 23

Armfield won't be playing. Playing first game back from injury in the VFL this weekend. Hasn't done anything this year to earn a game.

Because the Sunday night slots are designed to own sunday night tv ratings. We rate very high for tv ratings (i think 2nd).

Really? I'd be disappointed if Armfield is made to do twos time after a minor injury.

How is playing the kids like Buckley, Watson, Menzel, Graham and so on tanking?
If our more experienced or senior players are out of form, injured or not up to it for any reason we play the kids to fill a role. They are there to enhance our list and improve it. If our bottom 6-10 players aren’t good enough then we have to try and improve though out the year by giving our next generation players a shot.
If they hold down a position then it’s up to the dropped players to break back into the side. If at the very least make a meal of their opportunity they have gained invaluable experience and go back to the ressies and know what needs to be improved to make the grade.

Thanks Redback that's my view too - never advocate tanking but if your season is stuffed by mid april then you need to look towards 2015 and beyond whilst blooding players but being competitive
Last season at 0-3 we were effectively gone but thanks to bummers played finals not going to be so lucky this year -don't waste another year playing the same team it got us no where and in effect compounded problem for this year
