Casboult>>>>>>Rowe

Out: Maclean, Rowe, Garlett (needs to be punished for not kicking through the ball, time after time after flowering time). Go and practice it, then come back

In: Casboult, Walker, Graham

Ellard sub

Walker back, Touhy given some stints in the middle, maybe rotating with Curnow on Jobe. He may as well learn the craft from one of the best mids going around

You don't think missing the goals is punishment enough?

Out of interest have you actually seen Temay play?

No, I don't live in Melbourne.

I would like to see him get a run and see how he goes, brought on as the sub.

Know very little about him, heard he has a good tank and is hard at it (please correct me if I am wrong).

Interested to see how he would go as a sub.

To be honest, between him, Lucas and Ellard (2 of the emergencies I picked), I don't really care who subs but I
would like to see this kid get a go.

Lucas is the perfect sub for us, imo.

He can run and carry off the wing and get into the open, and coming on in the last qtr where there's lots of tired bodies is perfect for his bruise-free style of play. He offers a lot as our sub.

imo, he can't be considered run-on material until he can pick up 5-10% on his disposal efficiency.

Lucas certainly played the sub role quite well on Thursday.

How do you rate Temay? I had him down as sub in my preferred team to play Essendon* but don't know too much about him.

I haven't seen any bullants games sorry. Only know about temay from this board. I'm sure one of the other crew who sees him play regularly will weigh in here.

What are you talking about? The season finishes when you're finished. We finished a losing semi finalist last year. Just like 2011.

You sound like a Collingwood supporter now. They think that if you finish top at the end of the home and away but bomb out in the finals you still ended up the top team. Haha. It doesn't work like that.....

Oh, and Ben Johnston DIDN'T win the Olympic 100 metres, Carl Lewis did. Not by default. Notwithstanding that he was probably also doped up, at the time he won because he was deemed the first clean runner across the line. THERE WAS NO DEFAULT IN OUR MAKING THE FINALS LAST YEAR. WE WERE THE 8TH BEST FINISHER AT THE END OF THE H&A (OF ALL THE CLEAN TEAMS).

You're an angry man moshe, I hope last season gave you great satisfaction as no doubt have our first two very brave performances this year. But I want us to be a good footy side. We aren't and haven't been for a long time. I thought last year was crap. Go easy on the caps lock

No I don't.
He doesn't learn. has not been kicking through the ball for the last couple of years when he's on the run. Stop these bullshit dinky banana inside outside reverse swing end over end indulgences.
Just kick through it!!!

I feel the same way.

We have to work with what we've got. Casoult is on our list.
We upgraded him last year after seeing him for 2 years.

Theres 20 more matches to play.
20 more matches to expose 30-35 players.
Casboult will get his chance.

Just so happens Rowe was preferred to replace Kruezer this week.
Rowe was tried at CHB in the practise games. Ok ish.
I think Rowe will be replaced by Casboult and surpassed over the next few weeks.

Rowe is no where near AFL standard.
He's a big body. He is 25 26 yo. IMO No upside and reached hhis ceiling. He's not going to get fastr in body and mind.

With MM at the helm it is very rare that we win when Casboult plays. When you watch the games it is easy to see why. He is terrible defensively. Gets in the wrong spot and makes us a man down. With the ball he rarely does anything that results in us adding score.
He is a good mark and that seduces us. It looks great when he takes those 3 or 4 big marks.

Not angry at all. I just find it hilarious that people base where we finished last year on some opinion they have about where we SHOULD'VE finished rather than on the actual facts. We finished a losing semi finalist.

Do you go to the TAB and try to cash in a ticket on a horse that came fourth because you believe that that horse should've won? Probably. But I'd only try to collect winnings in a horse that actually came first (AFTER correct weight), and ya know what? If he came second but the horse that came first got disqualified, they'd pay me. That's how life works.

One of two outcomes for this one:

1) We'll get hammered
2) We'll lead by plenty and the cough it all up, shit kicking likely to contribute

I agree, when you need to inject a bit of pace to the game will fit the role perfectly like White did for Port on Saturday

We won't cough it up, they'll use their bio-chemical advantage to out last us.

In - Walker, Wood, Armfield, Carrazzo
Out - Rowe, Buckley, Lucas, McLean

Sub - Carrazzo

In: Watson, Walker, Carrazzo, Cripps.

Out: Rowe, Tuohy, Ellard, Robinson.

Leaves us without a second ruckman, but with Essendon* likely going in with Fraser Thurlow as their number 1, I think this is the week we can risk it. For all of Watson's faults I think he's comfortably a better player than Rowe. Tuohy needs to find some form. The other changes are swapping inside mids, but might add a bit more class.

I love the young fella, but I worry that his small frame won't handle the cheaters at the G in front of 70,000. He's got plenty of time. I'd bring him straight back in against Melbourne and give him a full game.

If Carrazzo's fit I'd play him sub. Walker is a no-brainer, Wood to replace Rowe, McLean's too slow and Lucas isn't up to a big important game like this. We need Armfield's pace and experience.

I think we can win with this team.

It is later than a Twilight Game. It is a 7.10pm start. Experiencing a loss between Thursday night and Sunday night the week after is torture.
