Didn't see the game.

Ellard great last week but this week should never play again?

Looked gone by the 3rd quarter, a lot of tired looking efforts.

Must have been 2nd choice for sub behind McLean.

What's with the baggy shorts?

Better than last week, but too many passengers. Mclean, Ellard, Gibbs, Touhy ineffectual.

I think we're gathering steam & will do better than bottom 6 as some are suggesting. But seriously - this list is in no man's land. We're not top 4, obviously. We're also not a young side starting the climb. It's pretty bleak.

Buckley was terrific, highlight of the night for mine. Keep playing this kid please Mick. He is ultra competitive...second efforts & courage were superb.

Yarran great game. Hasn't been given enough plaudits here. Great run & carry & kicking was first class.

Thomas started slowly but second half was very good.

Overall, pretty crap game of footy from 2 sides with obvious weaknesses.

Didn't see the game. Confused.

Heard Murphy was great. Dannyboy rated him -4.
Heard Everitt was ordinary. MM said he was sensational.

Saw our terrible misses, Garlett WTF?

Who started sub and who was subbed off?

Poor disposal, dumb decision-making, poor kicking for goal. Deja vu all over again.

Epitomised in the last quarter by Lucas: collects it at half-back, runs unopposed up the wing, takes 4 bounces and kicks it straight to a Richmond player.

To me Menzel and Buckley are two players that must play every week. They are the future of this team and something to build on.

Too many players who have had more than their fair share of chances to make it happen and been found wanting.

what did robbo do that was so bad?

kicks blindly over and over to the opposition - also missed several easy tackles

ditto for lucas

shows glimpse of brilliance then 2 seconds later stuffs it up - very soft - but overall was ok - just

how did hendo go?

we need more like him

did Everett get moved to the forward line at all?

no

how was daisy?

average - the class is present but he is so underdone

what was so bad about jiffy and waite's kicking?

they missed so many easy shots - unacceptable

not trolling, have not seen any live footage at all, and would genuinely like to know

many thanks

Mick coached well. Made the adjustments we needed to win ... we coulda won by 4 goals by the end.

Garlett's kicking for goal is deplorable. I swear every time robinson gets the ball he kicks it straight to them.

Murphy played the best game I've seen him have since Judd was in his prime. Daisy was clever, Buckley could be a gun, Menzel has potential, and Everitt did some good things.

Probably more positives that I woulda thought possible.

Buckley can't make the team and Menzel started as sub last week...... Coached well, my arse

coulda won by four goals, but our side can't kick straight.............. Coached well, my arse

Forward line is a rabble. Who is forward coach again?

With or without Kreuzer, our rucks are a liability around the ground. It's like playing 2 men short each week.

And on that subject, forget Sam Rowe or should that be "Sam Zero"?

Why not Casboult instead?

Would be nice for Robbo to have a look once in a while before he kicks too.

Carlton gave the ball directly to a Richmond player a staggering 36 times. Yes, 36. It is the most direct giveaways coughed up by a side this year.

Composure... lack thereof.

We persist, year after year, with players who lack composure.

Continuously pissing into the wind.

They say stupidity is doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result. We're the kings of stupidity because we stuffed up our rebuild. Every week we take to the field with:

A slow and unaccountable midfield
No height or size in the key positions
Limited ball winning ability
No superstars
Limited ruckmen

But we have no depth to cover any of these deficiencies because we never draft. The Psychologist could answer this, but when was the last draft where we took more than three players? Was it 2010? The reason I ask is that you're hitting and hoping to fill deficiencies when you take one player in the vain effort of filling a gap - especially when your draft record in the second and third rounds is as poor as ours.

To finish things off, the club never levels with us. Each year they recruit rather than draft and hint that we are heading for top 4. I kind of get the trade for Thomas because Micky would have wanted to get someone in to show the others how to play his brand of footy. But trades for Docherty and Everitt were beyond me in a draft which seemed to have a bit of depth until about pick forty.

To demonstrate what I'm on about, here's a question: if you want to add pace to our midfield from outside tonight's squad, who are you going to call up? It's an indictment on our list management.

Everitt was a swap of second rounders and we may (just may) have taken Giles with that higher pick anyway, however, you are right. We recruit and draft players in dribs and drabs and target our most glaring deficiencies rather than target players. It's recruiting based on the negative rather than the positive. We neglect far more than we make up.

We didn't trade for Thomas, was a free agent.

Not a fan of Lucas, but he added a spark to the team when he came on and did some nice things other than the above mentioned turnover. Gotta say he was streets ahead of McLean.

Lets not sugar coat it.

That was as bad an effort I have seen from us in a long long while. Richmond are average and soft and the standard of the game overall was pathetic.

I don't understand the lack of effort from the start?? Why? We lost last week and we should of been fired up. We were soft.

Take out Simpson and Murphy and no one seemed to care.

It shouldn't be tolerated. I will be very interested in the reaction at selection next week because it shouldn't be tolerated under any circumstances.

I blame the forwards for Lucas kicking to the opposition. It was four on two and both our forwards led to the same spot instead of creating space and taking an extra defender with one of them
