It'ss back!
This year proudly sponsored by Blue sombrero.
Opening party pre bounce in the BS foyer.
margaritas, tequila shots and fish tacos for all.
Come in, relax a while.
The place where irrational ranting is welcomed and soothed.

I'm a little worried we might lose in the way the Pies did.
Mostly though, I'm optimistic we'll win.

You honestly think we might lose by 12 goals?

I do if we aren't in front at 3/4 time. Really not confident this year, we bust a gut for minimal reward, then as the pre-season has shown again we are run over in the last. Established habit already.

Will be pretty epic to be 6 points down at 3/4 time and lose by 60 or 70

Just signed in. Not sure I want to be famous for sponsoring the worry room this year but if it means I get the softest couch, so be it.

I'm officially excited as I always am at the start of a new season but this game is so huge for both teams. We both have aspirations and well.... I'm just worried.

It'll be more than $8.50 at 3/4 time then!

The worry clearly outweighs the pleasure for me. Has for a while. Wish I could get the balance right and put football in its proper perspective. Which is what by the way? Determined to be calmer this year, but I said that last year. Against my better judgement will be there at depression stadium Etihad tonight at an appalling time slot for the opener. Thank God Collingwood, Richmond and Sydney lost. Eases the pain a little if we get run over tonight. Sorry to ramble on but I'm worried.... Surely we can beat Port Adelaide, cant we? Go Blues.

We may not win but I don't think we'll be as bad as round one last year.

We can't really gauge how good we are from the first game until a few rounds go by. Unless of course we get smashed.

I think Port are a real top 4 chance this year so it will be a good test.

Yep.

I think at this point only Freo and Hawks look a lock for top 4.

I don't think Port will drop away from last year but I reckon a couple of other sides might.

You're not alone Rick. We'll all get through this together. Here's some suggested reading as we begin the conquest of anxiety-

http://www.brainpickings.org/index.php/ ... life-1934/

Try drawing your own 'wheel of worry'. What percentage are you going to allow to be taken up in your life by a football team (something you have no control over)?

Live in the moment. Accept. Breathe.

Go Blues!

That's actually very good advice ABNS. Way too sensible for this forum. Thank you Zen Master

Come on Dane, show us you're capable of providing some detailed insight into Carlton and the opposition.

I don't think they'll make the 8. I thought they had a charmed draw last year. I must be out of touch with them!
