I dunno. Butchering Essendon*** in the 2011 EF was pretty damn special IMO

Agreed.
That was better

...but the win against the Tigers was pretty good too. The inevitability of it was intoxicating, the choke, the fear, the anger, .that fat he-she thing in the Richmond cheer squad with the glasses pointing her finger and crying...
something about picking on the Tigers is just fun
I'm sure the Hawks feel the same about us. May as well enjoy having a bunny while you can... never know when the tide will turn

It's actually a HE. Believe it or not. I know someone who knows 'him'....is involved at a local FC.

Mate, my marriage ended in between games, both games kept me alive! It's true when they say, your football club stays with you until you die. We didn't win a Premiership, but then again we never were going to. That Port game was absolute bliss, the Richmond game was just the best tonic I needed in life at the time. For me like i said earlier, those two games are now engrained in my life for ever.

I actually told a chichi prior to meeting my wife in 1999, to shut the @#$%&! up I;m drinking to celebrate Carlton beating Essendon* in the Prelim. This girl i slept with earlier in the week. Bad timing on her behalf :sly:

It's just funny how even though you know the result and know what went on during the game you still get caught up in it!

wouldnt say i get cauht up in it.
though im amazed with how non descript carlton has become..
thats a famous victory is it?
famous in the sports history.. or just in our pathetic last 12 years history?
against a team with an even more devastatingly pathetic modern history.

was a real clash of football titans

both sent packing as the pathetic losers they are.. but yes.. some of us take that game as some kind of beacon.. a trophy...success!!!.. memorable...eh dane??..
its what we have become.. !!!
its who we are!!!

up there with stkildas streak we all laughed about....actually the streak would have been much more awesome..the feeling wwould have lasted much longer than what we have experienced for around 15 years.

my commentary is more an editorial not of that game as such.. but the pathetic club we have become with its very low standards and expectations...

its hard to believe where were at!!!..i know where were at.. just hard to believe the ambition of this club and its supporters these days.
so easily pleased.. richmond eh??? ..an eliminational final eh??.,,, and then smashed and humiliated by a winged honest footy club with 3 blokes out before 1/4 time...

yes!!!.. be pleased!!!... success!!!.. standards!!!... celebrate the memory of knocking over the mighty tigers.

just don't enjoy it too much Verbs, keep it in perspective, you wouldn't want to gain any pleasure from it
