A contract for next year.

I think that last paragraph suggests that any additional delistings will be announced on the day of list lodgings, but not before.

Surely there will be more.
This is not enough, say hello to 2006 draft picks becuase me thinks we will be seeing more of the same.

I would be happy with the same win/loss ratio if we drafted a bunch of kids who showed something but we will just get thrashed with players whose the only reason they are playing AFL is that they had a contract or that they are Pagans favourites.

Im sad :(

There doesn't have to be more. There will be 40 players on our main list next season opening up two more spots on our list without delisting anyone (off the main list). I'm guessing it's the reason why Becker was delisted off the rookie list. Can't have 5 rookies when you've got a full list.

I don't know whether they'll keep Bannister or not. But at least he's got the athleticism to play AFL. Unless we know we can get someone better, I think he's worth persevering with for another year. (He had a very good year in 2004.)

Bad Luck Johnno. Digby gone keeps alive the tradition of guernsey number increase for Carlton's first choice draft picks. Happy to see Ladies' Lounge Man of The year gone.

Guys, Guys, Guys,

Seriously you would think that your arms have been cut off. The club can't seem to win based on the raft of comments I have been reading on 4 different boards. :?

1. All clubs are obliged to delist at least 3 players off their prime lists each season.

2. They must draft a certain number as well. Not sure of the number though.

3. Rookies can be listed for 2 years only, after which they are either cut or upgraded.

4. OOC players who have been in the VFL mainly and have attracted NO interest in the trading period are always the next to go.

5. Players from point 4 who show little or no determination to succeed and demonstrate that they are bigger than the club are on borrowed time.

6. Players from 4 & 5 who break club rules & curfews and continually embarrass the club are usually shipped out.

Do any of these discriptions fit the players already de-listed? The love affairs that some of you have with certain players is unbelievable. Ask yourselves, "Do you support the Blues or some couple of seasons retreads that are already at their 2nd or 3rd clubs?" Also ask "Will they help us to improve/make the finals/win that elusive 17th?"
Let me pick on 1 as an example. Can you really imagine the Condom Kid playing in a Premiership team? Would he make the cut at Sydney, Port or the Lions?

If you think that the de-listing is now done and we are just waiting on Campo and Skinny to decide if they will sign on our terms or go to the PSD, guess what?....WRONG.... There will certainly be more to cop the chop. We just got back in the draft. Like we are gunna keep a Bannister rather than go for an exciting kid or pick up an uncontracted player in the PSD....SERIOUSLY!!!

This is the List Lodgement and Nominations dates coming up.

National Draft Noms by 16th Nov.

Second List Lodgement by 18th Nov.

De-listed Players wishing to enter the National Draft must nominate by 23rd Nov.

National Draft 10am Sat 26th Nov. 8)

Third List Lodgement and Total Player Payment estimates for the P SD 13th Dec. 8)

Rookie Draft held straight after PSD. 8)

As you can see, plenty of time for the Grim Reaper to do what he does best. Who knows your favourite player could be next and then you can follow their stellar career in the Mooorondroop Thirds. :P

David Clarke was kept on the list for that reason. If they are kept (e.g. bannister) would expect them to play Bullants most of year unless form warrants propmtion or we have lots of injuries.

It is always sad to see players go that put in. Johnno and Digby were two cases in point. However, both were just averages footballers and we need to move them aside to get in some talent.

I'm tipping at least two more delistings: Prenda and Bannister. The others to be skating on thin ice would be Davies, Sporn, Wiggo, Livo, Longmuir and Chambers.

Karl, get out of my office. 8)

Jess Smith might not be promoted by the look of things, but i expect he will stay as a rookie for one more year.

We had 38 including Kouta and Campo who were on VL this season, plus six rookies. Not sure how you getting 40 on our primary list next year when we will only have 1 veteran and the fact the club is trying to reduce its wage bill.

We have lost Bowyer, Clarke, Norman, Morrel, Johnson and Campo already from the list of 38 and added Saddington leaving us 5 spots to fill in the draft at this stage.

Nobody has been promoted from the rookie list officially, but assuming Carlos is, we still need to delist 1 maybe 2 players to enter the PSD or Round 5 of the National Draft.

In saying that Bannister, Wiggins, Sporn, Davies, Predergast, Chambers and Longmuir better start training there arses in early November as the next list lodgement date is in mid November.

Johnno and Diggers - great blokes who will no doubt be missed around the club. Thanks for helping out and busting your rings in our darkest hour.

Karl - You DH! Could've been so much more but an idiot won't change quickly enough to make it in this business.

Karl's only hope if he wants it is a rookie spot - under 30 games and under 23yo. Good luck  .

Is the club tyring to reduce it's wage bill? I think that was just a nasty rumour spread to make the whole Whitnall/Fevola thing in trade week more dramatic. I never believed it myself. If anything we'd be stuggling to reach the minimum percentage of the salary cap, hense the extra two players.

Blueworld suffered the same fate as I did last night with the site having problems. Each post that we made went into debug. So we didn't know if the post was added. When we checked the thread our post was missing, but was obviously added in the end. I worked this out after two posts. Blue World took a bit longer...

Hey stop bagging Bannister!

Just think he has a place in the side and will prove his worth next year. De ja vu

Jesse Smith should be kept on the rookie list for antoher year. He has talent but I would rather use pick 36 than add Smith to the primary list, then have to get a rookie anyway in a shallow draft year.
