Canberra Carlton Supporters website (www.canberracarltonblues.com.au) reports that dual premiership star and 2004 Northern Bullants assistant coach Peter Dean has been appointed coach of the Murray Bushrangers TAC Cup team for the next two years.
In the article PD says he wants to coach at AFL level one day and sees this job as an ideal stepping stone. If he coaches half as well as he played, he's a monty. Good luck Deano!

Welcome to the Murry Deano!!

It is a good place to hide while the Blueboys are the competition rabble.

I look forward to getting to a few Under 18 games.

Yep, but I'm sure he'll get there

Maybe. But perhaps if Peter Dean has grander ideas for his coaching career he may have declined an assistants position at any rate for the chance at taking "proper" coaching role where he has the final say.

It is starting to shit me in a major way how everything is the Clubs fault.

This forum is starting to remind me of a bunch of whining old women. We do not trade - bad. We do trade - bad. We delist a player - bad. We do not delist a player - bad. We stand our ground with Lappo - bad. We find a compromise with Lance - bad.

NAB - MD Aus - is not yet the president - Club's fault. The financial situation - the current Boardsfault. Not tanking because we don't have money - the Club's fault. Ending up with the wooden spoon anyway - bad.

Petert Dean taking up a senior position instead of becoming an assitant - Club's fault. I can go on and on.

From the posts here I can also predict what the tone is going to be next year - no matter the onfield performance. If we do allright then the Club and coaches are idiots because we miss out on good picks. I we do badly and end again in the bottom - we are a rabble and they should also be sacked.

Get hold of yourselves - will ya?

Some of you (if you are financial members ?!) should at least get your arse away from the cheap seat in front of a key board and attend the next AGM. Then confront the Board - also - if you know how to run the Club so much better then the current Board and Admin - run for a Board position.

Not to offend anybody... just need to let of some steam after catching up on posts over the last couple of days...

I'm just frustrated by the clubs lack of urgency to pursue ex footballers who have sound knowledge of the game and are quality people.

Well said Mikkey!!! It is much easier to sit on a hill and throw rocks than it is to dig in and roll your sleeves up for most people. I always love those suggestions people have that start with 'somebody should' instead of 'I will'.

No wonder that troll baited us all during trade week about how much longer we were all going to stay barracking for the blues.

Reckon Mikkey is on to something, and re Deano, great player, but may not necessarily be a great coach. Perhaps he wasn't the right guy for an assistant's post. If he is a good coach then a couple of years ith the bushrangers may hone his skills for a return to Carlton.

Do you know if we've chased them or not? We can't tie them down and force them to sign on with us anyway.

Shaun Rehn took a good position with Brisbane, why would he pick us over them?
