What's worse, we paid out quality to get in lesser quality.

Great comeback. If you disagree, come up with something other than a pathetic eye roll. This forum is for discussion.
We flicked a bloke who was good enough to pick up an AFL senior job and not only did we pay him out, we paid additionally to get in lesser quality.
If I'm wrong, debate the point. If you're not capable, why bother responding?

I've seen the way you debate in the Mick Malthouse threads, and it's like a broken record.

Lazy response.
Yes I was critical of the Malthouse appointment but once the season was underway, I focussed on the footy. I was disappointed with his attempt to transfer the Collingwood gamestyle and I stated so. To his credit he realised his error and changed tack which I gave him credit for.
If he deserves credit, I give it to him and if I believe he deserves criticism, I'll dish it out as well. No different to Ratten or Pagan.
The childish suggestions that someone is a Malthouse hater or whatever is a response from posters who dont have the intelligence to debate the point.

I wanted to get to the microphone volunteering to be a pidgeon, but I reckon the "blue rinse" audience would have lynched me.

I wonder if anyone at the Essendon* AGM dared ask why they are paying two coaches mega bucks next season, both of whom were found negligent and have already cost the club millions in fines, the loss of draft picks and expulsion from the finals (just for starters).

Did the 150th celebrations get mentioned at all?

Ryan Trainor was very impressive.

Vision, innovation, hell, even just a plan that stretched beyond "winning flags".

Having Sticks involved just makes it seem like under 10s presentation day. Did Andrew Forrest get referred to as Twiggy throughout a Fortescue AGM? Referring to him as Sticks throughout a motion of constitutional reform of the club just made it seem like amateur hour.

Otherwise, happy with the overall outcomes.

I'll try and do it justice, from what was conveyed last night.

Blue Class Cinema is essentially going to be the footy equivalent of a director's commentary on a DVD. A famous game shown on the big screen at the club, play by play given by a club legend (Kouta's 16 mark game, Teddy Hopkins, 1970 GF etc.) with Q&A after.

Pop up social club will essentially be opening the club up after open training sessions, school holidays clinics, during interstate games, after Northern Blues games, etc.

I was also impressed that Ryan Trainor "gets" the Northern Blues / Carlton connection and the general philosophy that Carlton needs to own Northen Melbourne (and North West   ) as our geographic heartland.

I believe he had the commitment and drive to ensure the programs are in place to see this vision through.

I like the sound of Ryan and I hope the club's board/benefactors are mature enough to set aside their personal fiefdoms and allow him to actually try and take the club somewhere.
