Keep in mind Prender was in the leadership group this year and is obviously pretty highly thought upon around the club (as a role model at least).

I'dve preferred Bowyer to stay than Prenda

Pretty upset with Karl going. He has paid for his crime/s. What about Sporn and Prenda? Both lucky............very lucky!

i thought they might of given diggers another go, but seeing as lance and fev will both play forward and with saddo, i can see why. Good luck for his future

Johnson- probably should be going. didn't play enough seniors this year. Good luck to him

Normans just a druggie who was always gone

Pity about johnson and Diggers, they were real goers - made the most of their ability.

Seeya Karl - I for one won't miss you.

Shattered by the de-listing of Johnno.

One of my favourites on the Carlton list as you are all well aware of.

Some great quotes in there:

"Brett and Digby have certainly made a significant contribution to the Carlton Football Club, both on and off the field, since joining Carlton in late 2003"

"Karl joined Carlton direct from Wangaratta in the 2002 National Draft"

Says it all really.

P.S. When do we arrange our get together with Elroy?????

mmmmmmmmm Beer.

Well, I have him down as playing in the Forum match and we usually go to the Glenferrie afterwards, so I guess that's when I'll get mine.

The only way he won't have to buy me a beer is if he puts in an absolute blinder on the day.

You forgot that we need to fit in Saddington. So that will be 7 changes. He will be fitted in if both Campo and Lappo go. If one of them stays then we will need to delist one more. If they both stay (?) then we will need to delist two more.

Aren't you overstating it a little there PJ? Although I suppose we all get upset over different things.
I'm shattered Confectioner's been left out of the Caulfield Cup!

Sydney Blue - you've forgot picking up Saddington. The situation is as below -

Starting with 38 players, we are now without,

Bowyer
Clarke
Morrell
Norman
Johnson
+
Campo
=
32
Setanta has his new contract, so he is promoted
Saddington recruited
=
34

So as it stands -
Keeping Lappin we can use,
National Draft Picks 1, 4 & 20.
PSD Pick 1

Not contracting Lappin we can use,
National Draft Picks 1, 4, 20 & 36.
PSD Pick 1

Also 3 vacant Rookie spots.

Not at all, Luca.
I'm a big fan of Brett Johnson and rated him as best in and under midfielder in the side slightly behind Koutoufides.

will always remember that game against Essendon* when Brett Johnson picked up something like 25 possies in the first half; really thought we'd uncovered something at that stage, shame he couldn't repeat the performance

I'm with PJ on this, whilst Johnson is no star I wouldn't have delisted him this season. We're not exactly choc-a-block full of players who can win their own footy, and Johnson does this well. Would have kept him.

I'm guessing maybe 2 more to be delisted and Lappin to be kept so that J.D and Setanta can both be promoted onto the senior list...That way we can use 1, 4, 20, 36 in the draft and pick 1 in the PSD as well...

One particular game where he really did show his inside work was the victory over the Crows in 2004.

Pagan was pulling him on and off the ground at various stages in the game and, for mine, everytime he was off the ground we would start to slip a little and find ourselves out of the game. When he came on, we'd seem to find that something extra and find ourselves in front.

Very underrated player who should have been given more opportunities in the seniors.

There has to be more delistings to come because I can't believe we're not drafting past pick 36.Doesn't make sense to not grab another 18 year old at 68 or another bottom-aged recruit with our last pick.

We didn't need to keep Johnson with Murphy on the way and Blackwell only missing selection because of injury, the writing was on the wall for his career.

Surely you would drop 2 more off.
One that you can use for pick 36 and another that you can use for PSD pick 2 and redraft is noone beter is available.
