I assume everyone got the CArlton e-mail stating Morrell, Johnson and Norman have been de-listed?

Any thoughts?

I hadn't got it, so I went to check the website....

Personally, I'm upset at the loss of Digby - but I understand how business-like we need to be. Still - we came out on top of that little swap.....

Interesting that Becker and Pleming have also been told they're out of luck as well.....

I liked this though:

"The Club advises that there is expected to be no further decisions made on changes to the playing list before the list lodgements on Monday October 31st."

Farewell chaps!
Johnno - tried his guts out...best he could do given what God dished out
Diggers - Stiff mate - a good forward, but not as good as our best, and couldn't make it in defence
Karl - you idiot - Broadford may have an opening

I would have though Morrell has more use than Bannister or prendergast.

That Super goal in the Wizard cup is saving him

Geez, I was kinda hoping we'd hang on to all three of those blokes.

Surely there are more delistings on the way?

I think there are a few more list lodgements after that date IIRC...In which case, i think a few of the others will go as well...

And yet it would seem some of you have missed one important part of the article.

Quote:
Brett Johnson, Digby Morrell and Karl Norman have been delisted by the Club and Nick Becker has been advised he will not be elevated from the Rookie List and will not be a second year rookie, while Sam Pleming, who has been a Rookie List player for two seasons, will not be elevated to the Primary List.

Why was Boris given the arse? I thought Denis liked him as a player?

Contracted I think, as are Sporn (you were wrong PJ), Prender, ? Wiggins. Probably only thing saving them this year. Sounds like Davies is another lucky one on his last chance.

Only 5 delists from a playing group that finished bottom (& sole reason!) is a surprise.

What advantage would there be in hanging on to guys like Bannister, Davies , Wiggo anf Predagast after that date you would only be denying them a chance to nominate for the ND . I would say one of Campo and Lappin gone along with Clarke and Bowyer that makes 6 listed players all up and that will be it - Promote Sentanta - 1,4,20 + 36 PSD 1

There are further list lodgments after Oct.31 so there may be more delistings. Contracts are saving a few who should be gone otherwise - Prender OMG!!!!

Yeah can't believe this, played his fair share in the Bullants seniors and showed some real tenacity, I was equally impressed with him as i was with Jordan Russell. I wasn't expecting an elevation to the senior list but thought he really deserved another year on the rookie list. Perhaps there's some information missing here

Hmmm maybe next year we will de list the remaining hacks (Wiggins, Prendergast, Bannister etc) so we can stock up our list with talent from Super Draft II.

I thought Prender might be in trouble, not suprised about the three already delisted although Johnson and Diggers at least put in.
