So what's the sponsorship worth?
And, how does it compare to other clubs' major sponsors?
Any other sponsors waiting in the wings?

Roughly $1.6 million per season.

It compares favorably to other clubs. Mars is the cheaper sponsor that probably hurts us a bit. Visy is about the same level as Hyundai.

There were rumors of another a while back. Club was confident. I'll ask again.

Thanks DS

New sponsor being announced soon.

Anyone find it strange that the giant picture of Thomas in the herald sun last week had him wearing a pair of shorts with an Optus logo plastered on them. I thought they left?

Do we get another presser to announce it? Would be good to combine it with the presser for new draftees and maybe Everitt and Doc too.

The Optus sponsorship ends on 31 December.

Everything's being rolled out fairly strategically now. The new draftees will get a little bit of stuff early - but you're unlikely to see as much stuff from Arizona this December.

Don't think you'll be seeing a presser for either of these two.

Check the Carlton YouTube archives for their arrival clips.

Can someone explain member venue income and expenses? They both went up 10m this year. This is what changed our revenue number this year.

Comparing some of the key figures between us and CheatScum illustrates clearly why many posters keep reiterating that the club needs to lift itself above the pack.
Better figures than a number of clubs - but we shouldn't be falling so far behind a bitter rival of comparable size.
Revenue ..... sponsorship, merchandise, membership.
Thank god for the fine , legal costs and whatever else hopefully eventuates.

For all that, Essendons total revenue isnt much clear of ours when you remove its 5.3 million in grants for tullamarine.

We need a better merchandise department, this much is clear. Bring back that old bloke with the storeroom near the swimming pool

That is a massive leap in income around 22% and almost all of it through pokies. Some serious work needs to be done on sponsorship, hope this new sponsor Doc has referred to is a big one. Thought membership income would be better with 6000 more members but overall its going in the right direction financially, the AFL loan will be paid back next year and the outstanding $5m should be knocked off in the next few years.

I don't think it'll too big but the Mars deal is so bad that any sponsorship coin is welcome.

...or shitty chocolate bars!

Why couldn't we get Snickers. One of their "you're not yourself" ads featuring Carlton players would be awesome, haha.
