Is a board seat being vacated to accomodate the NAB CEO?

They can add him if they wish, there is space but i suspect someone will stand down. Also I thought that he was being looked at to be President when he stands down in a year or so.

Not sure where you are getting your information from BM.

I doubt that Mr Fahour will be looking to stand down in 2 years but instead would fancy himself in the MD /CEO position, if and when John Stewart steps aside. At 39 i would think he has a bit of time ahead of him.Having had a fair idea of the demands on a Senior Banking Executive, any talk of a combination of the roles are rather fanciful.

It constantly amazes me, that anyone publicized as a Carlton supporter at a senior Corporate level is immediately earmarked for a Board position.

Mr Fahour is being talked about at senior AFL level as being a 'new blood' prospect at Carlton.

Its one thing for the AFL to talk about it, and another for Mr Fahour chosing to involve himself.

As i said earlier the experiences with his predecessors would suggest he won't have much free time on his hand.

Additionally as an NAB Shareholder i believe Management have plenty of work on their hands to turn the Banks situation around.Mr Malouf as CEO of the banks Australian operation is a large part of that.

Poor grammar on my behalf 7Dom. I meant that Mr Fahour was looking to be President when Collo stands down in two years.

Cheers

Mark

Isn't Ahmed supposed to be on $20m a year or something ridiculous like that? After 2 more years working, would $40m in the bank be enough? :)

You'd have to wonder whether you could leave a job paying that much. I'm sure greed kicks in (if it hasn't already), and you can always do with another Pacific island to your name....

The club is a shambles ..Dom is right you would want to have plenty of time on your hands...Mike Fitzpatricks name hasnt been mentioned..sensible fellow is Fitzpatrick..has stayed well out of the entire mess...you would reckon Fahour would equally clever and keep out of it...

The world is full of "conflicts of interest". Collo having one is miniscule in the scheme of things

As for Ahmed, cannot see him having any spare time to allocate to the CFC in the short term. We're stuck with the current board less. The3 year rotation of directors and any resignations may see some changes to the board.

Attend the AGM - make a difference if you feel strongly about it.
