Nice effort by the Pies to have their membership stand at the MCG yesterday for Open Day. Noticeable presence.

As a tenant of the MCG, the Pies were probably making use of the many perks in their contract which is one of the best in the world. They were the only club whose Membership and merchandise 'caravan' I saw. It was between Gates 2 and 3 which were the only gates open yesterday.

They are organised and entrepreneurial. I would envisage they are possibly the only Victorian club who understand their Customer Acquisition Cost, hence another reason for their participation at these events. Wouldn't surprise me to see them at the Australian Open. I'd love to have a caravan set up in Fed Square. Reckon you'd get some international memberships out of that as well.

Richmond confirmed on twitter yesterday they didn't have a tent set up, even though they are a tenant of the MCG.

Yeah - the Pies were the only ones I noticed and the fact that they were positioned where they were - it stood out like dogs balls. There were so many Collingwood people there it wasn't funny. It really is a them vs the rest.
