Given the poor track record of the club when it comes to recruiting/player development, why not spend the money in these vital areas?

Has there been much growth in spending on recruiting/player development compared to other sectors of the club?

It's only a waste of money and resources if you don't have the facilities to keep up the altitude training through simulators when you return from a natural altitude environment. Carlton does...therefore his point is moot where we are concerned.

His other point was that you needed to spend 16 hours a day in the simulators for the benefit to be continious.

I don't subscribe to that theory. That's what the Bulldogs did last year. They slept inside the 'altitude adjusted rooms' but performed their training outside (at normal oxygen concentrations). Results would have been improvements of EPO and red-cell levels. It doubles as a good bonding experience. I'm in favor of it.

The Bombers and the Saints will have their trips financially offset by funds won by the players for taking part in the recent Virgin Australia short film festival.

I wonder what the Saints playeres submitted as their entry for the short film festival. Perhaps a film of Dal Santos pecker.

Looks like Essendon** might be a little short on cash if they're not fully funding altitude training trips.

It would be more beneficial if they used that money to teach some of the blues how to kick
After all it is FOOT ball

Strong use of the macro setting.
