McKay said on radio the week before Laidley was appointed that he was in the process of interviewing candidates for 2 positions: an assistant coach and a development coach. If Laidley is the assistant coach, there should still be a development coach coming (hopefully) but who knows.

Added Laidley and Brown left.

When can we expect an announcement for the extra assistant?

So it'll be Laidley as midfield coach, Green for the forwards, Barker for the backs and Wiley as full-time development.

Capuano still floating around as part-time ruck coach or is that long done?

That's got to be close to the thinnest coaching line up in the league.

How come we cannot land one of the ex Geelong players, like Corey? FFS, are we just amateur at attracting talent to the club?

Mathew "We dont want mediocre here" Capuano has been ruck coach for many years.
He is responsible for our amazing ruck talent improvements

Actually he is another cockroach (by that i mean... when you see stuff that shouldnt be there its a sign of stuff).... no money!!!.. bu t we pretend all is good....

so much of what we do is on a shoestring budget!!!

Not all is what it seems at the Casa de Carlton

Because we don't have an ex-Geelong assistant as our head coach.

Which is why we get ex-Collingwood types.

Footy is just one big love in full of cliques.

I guess it helps that 'plenty' of his ex premiership mates are currently at the Doggies so the drawing power is strong.

Your post is pretty lame considering we just attracted 3 players from other clubs plus 2 from Ireland.

Regards Cazzesman

It would be nice if we could snag a highly rated younger coach.

According to Leigh Brown, he knocked us back to take the Gippsland Power job.
You know you're going well when ex Collingwood blokes knock you back after getting the arse from Melbourne.

I'm okay with the coaching panel but would like to see a dedicated skills coach of proven quality to improve kicking/handballing techniques.
