Noticed in the HUN that John passed away

Was one of my favourite players when I was a kid

Had thighs like lamp posts

Was Sergio Silvagni's cousin

He built the old scoreboard that was at the Lygon St end before the Legends Stand was built

Yes.....John was a concreter by trade; and also constructed all of the tiered terracing in the outer at PP.

He had the biggest thighs I've ever seen; bigger even than Big Nicks!

John joined Carlton directly from Parade CBC with his cousin; Serge Silvagni; and played 88games in the back pocket; although he did manage to kick 15 goals somehow between 1958 and 1965.
