Yep.

I will already not attend Monday night and Sunday twilight games. If we're playing Sunday night games add those to the list.

So there's a likely downgrade in membership.

I've bitched about this before, but I really hate the way we just magically became a lock to play St Kilda on the Monday night

Its unveiling follows Fairfax Media's revelation that the AFL will further depart from tradition to schedule up to three Sunday night games on Channel Seven next season. Two of those proposed will be blockbusters - a round-three MCG clash hosted by Essendon* against Carlton, and a Collingwood-Carlton MCG game on June 29 midway through the school holiday period. A third game may see West Coast take on North Melbourne on June 1.

Don't feel too daunted about facing Hawks, Cats, Filth and Scum twice.
- Should ve beaten the Scum twice this year, and they ll be infracted next year anyway
- Should ve beaten the Filth in Rnd 2 if it wasn't for Elliott running Bootsma a merry dance in the last.
- Came close to beating both the Hawks and the Cats. Hopefully we get to play them at the G next year, as think we re a better chance on the bigger ground.

With a better balanced side next year hopefully, this task isn't as daunting as it seems.

5AA said yesterday we are playing at Adelaide Oval twice next year. Considering we are playing Port here in Round 1, I'd say we are playing Port twice.

Swann on SEN just now said we will likely play in all 3 sunday night games next year (Port Round 1, Ess Round 3 & Collingwood in late June).

3 Sunday nights and a Monday. membership department will be thrilled.

sure it's not great for membership. But Swann said it will be good for ratings & therefore help with corporates & sponsorships. Strange how we will be in all 3 sunday night fixtures. Do we really rate that well in Tv ratings compared to Collingwood etc?

I hope this doesn't mean the AFL has us earmarked as the 'Sunday night niche market' club :sly:

We could then be like Norf and claim to be the pioneers of Sunday night footy

Dont forget 2 Thursday night games, although i think one of these is before Good Friday.
So we take it as 2 Thursday nights, 3 Sunday nights and one Monday nights. 6 of our 22 games involving non traditional time slots.
Great.

I don't mind Thursday night so much as there's just one day of the work week left.

Is Rd 3 Easter weekend? Sunday game before Easter Monday would be fine.
