If I was Brisbane I'd want another pick or a player. Thing is - our players don't appeal to them. We thought Casboult would interest them. He doesn't.

Is it true the lions are happy to trade Docherty. They have agreed to trade him to us but the stalling point being that we told the lions we may have a better pick to exchange but that's now that's no longer the case?

Have you heard this?

Pick 32 and laidler for docherty...
Seriously how hard can this deal be???
Clubs like hawks, north, Essendon* and even Melbourne
pounce on players and get them, us, pathetic......
Thomas, docherty and a KPP, simple.
Maybe Mitch thorp with pick 33 in the draft??
Just getting a little restless, with 3 days to go and
Thomas is all we have so far..

You're assuming the Brions want Laidler, or you know they want him?

Was told that the lions were keen, typically our response was
We will get a pick for him in a separate deal...
Watch come Friday arvo, we will miss out and our so called
Gun main men running the show response will be,
Tried everything in our power but just did not have enough time
to finalise the deal....

Lions

I'd want a player as well or a pick inside 25.

Lions have better offers on the table. Simple as that.

We were given time to come up with a pick around the 24 mark but haven't managed to find one around that mark.

Saints might trump us again.

I would have thought that if they have accepted 27 for Yeo, that 32 would be equitable for Docherty based on onfield output in the AFL.

Great List Management again. Get rid of a McEvoy & Dal Santo (saves $) with Hickey coming through and getting Longer. Also get Savage, Delaney and probably Bruce and a number of good picks early in the draft.

Impressive.

I don't believe the rumor. Boyd won't be there at two. If he is - we'll get done for draft tampering. There'll be a beauty at pick 13.

What's the difference? Don't GWS own both picks? If they wanted someone else and we wanted Boyd, they'd just give us pick 1 instead.

give?????

niiiice!!!

Well, we 'give' GWS something, they 'give' us something in return - what's your problem?

How will the Saints trump us if they will only offer 25 for Longer? They're not going to offer 18 or 19 for Docherty.

This trade week is driving me crazy surely we are trying to recruit a defender behind the scenes
Or are we waiting for the National Draft.

25 for Docherty and Longer through PSD?

PS I don't think he is going to Saints.

I just don't think Brisbane will lose any of their players to the PSD. Worst comes to worse, they'll accept whatever their being offered on Friday arvo. They can't afford to lose players for nothing - they have too many list spots to fill (they delisted a number of players on top of the 5 who want out).

I've done very little work in the last week looking at you tube and any games to see what players like Docherty, Bruce, Delaney etc offer.

TBH I dont see anything great, but I do see some upside in Docherty.
I'd like to land him because others see something I don't but I'm not thrilled.

Given he was a pick 12 then I do see pick 33 as a good exchange....for us. As for pick 32, same.

Where is he going to play? Backline? to replace Scotland (how long will that take?) or Midfield? Haven't seen much to suggest that he will.

I'm hoping we snag a few surprises, and if we dont, and we're relying on pick 32,33, 51 and 69 to improve our list in class....tell 'em they're dreamin.
I'll be very disappointed. 3 more days. Lets see.

We need to add to our midfield and we've landed Thomas.

Cant believe that NM are offering 47 for Karnezis and Pies likely to offer 67.
Why arent we in there offering pick 51 or trying to get a pick better than 47 and try and get him.
He doesnt mind the idea of playing for Carlton. In fact he likes it.

Very very average player.

Doesn't have a defensive bone in his body. Can see why Mick doesn't want. We have enough one way runners as it is.
