I don't care to get stuck on playing who's right and who's wrong. The guy has a contract to play for one more year and most reasonable people wouldn't begrudge him.

I thought he may walk away this year but it seems as though he and the club feel we can get another year out of him. Why be surprised?

Your views on Judd are unbalanced and based on a deluded view which underestimates Judd's worth.

- We were a bottom 2 side when he joined and he largely turned us into a finals side for 3 out of the last 4 years.
That probably justified the big dollars he was on.
- Last season he was still integral to our midfield and the final he played against Richmond again justified his $500-700,00 price tag
- The extra 100-200 we may pay Judd pales into insignificance. He would still be in our top 5 players.
- Apportioning the blame for poor salary cap management on Judd is ludicrous. He may earn less per game played than Waite
- You also discount his worth to the young players at the club in terms of prepartion
- In 2013 would have been lucky to have finished above bottom four without him
- I have never read such disrespect of a champion & one of the best clearance players to have played the game.
- You should also stop referring to those that disagree with you as small minded. Your endless bashing of the same point isn't
exactly indicative of broad, lateral thinking. Fix your critical radar on a target other than C. Judd

My guess is that Judd's management put the heat on CFC early 2013 putting the story out that Judd doesn't want to play on. Swann, Sticks etc shit themselves, knowing if Judd retires at the end of his famous contract that CFC will be seen to have failed during the "Judd era". It's weird, but it's the way these blokes seem to think. So they throw good money on to the spilt milk and their Judd era remains intact for another season.

It's just strange that people are so attached to Judd th t they're happy to overpay by $200-300k for a
player who is clearly no longer able to do half of what he could, and is unable to move into a forward role with any success.

I took on face value the idea that he's on $500-550k next year, and at the time I thought fair enough even though it was probably overs. If he's earning $700k+ they can all GAGF. Unbelievable.
