Taylor Adams has nominated the cats or pies. Most likely to end up at the pies as the herald sun is reporting that GWS have offered Heath Shaw a 4 million 5 year deal and Adams will be part of the trade.

Chapman for 1 or 2 years with the potential of an assistants role at the bullant

He could do this as an Assistant Coach.

Doesn't want to be an assistant coach...

Chappy is a FA, cost $280k, big deal..
The bloke can play... Only needs to play 10-13
games per year, match winner who can teach most
of our boys to hardener up...
Half forward line looks a lot better with chappy next to menzel..
The question will be, who's spot would he take over on the list???
For mine, sorry ellard, chappy takes your spot..
Maybe Scotland retires, takes over he's..
Trublu makes good points, list needs a make over,
Thomas, docherty, thorp and chappy will add grunt and skill,
Something we lack...
If we were doing nothing, people would be upset that we have done
nothing to improve our list, some change is good..

If we were contending for a premiership, great. Otherwise, I see little value in picking up a 32 year old half forward with bad hammys.

Don't bring common sense into this

Chapman "nearly" qualifies as a champion?

Not sure what you have to do to make champion status then if he is left out.

The guy basically guided Geelong to two premierships and was handy in the other one. Look at the first quarter of the 2007 GF-forget Stevie J - It was all Chappy.

That to me gives him champion status. Look at his record in finals.

I don't know the status of his health right now, so not certain of the status in regards to his situation with being traded, and I don't know what club he would be most suited for, but the way Geelong treated a CHAMPION of that club wasn't exactly professional. At the least, they could have given him a testimonial, some recognition for all his efforts.

Four goals and a great bump in a final in his last match for Geelong. I'll have him...

If you measure players by how they play in big games, this guy is an out and out champion.

I'm not in favour of him being at Carlton next year, we're not going to be playing in big games, but let's get real about what the bloke has done in the game. He's a champion.

Isnt the objective to contend for the premiership every year
If you set your goals low you will finish low - Should be aiming to be top dog every year

We're drafting ready to play small forwards?

HS says we might be on-trading the Hampson pick to Hawks to get Savage.
