 You shouldn't believe everything you read hear from nuff-nuffs.

If you are referring to the "nuff-nuff's" as Footscary/Bulldogs, they smashed us this year because they are building a better list.....

Disgraceful attitude.

Who cares about one rogue poster at this stage? It's a bit late for us to be worrying about karma. Why not call Kernahan disgraceful instead?

Not referring to the Bulldogs MF...I've seen quite a bit of their kids over the last few years if you've read any of my posts. Referring to the rumors this time of year which are made up by nuff-nuffs on GuesSEN or who listen to GuesSEN. Pretty sure the Dogs will use that pick 4.

Yeah cause the hawks and pies are a disgrace. Both teams tanked and one team has two premiership cups, the other has 1.......HOW MANY DO WE? Oh yeah that's right, we've played a couple finals and where's it got us

Losing to Port in the last game would have done more damage to the club than the gain of a pick 6 versus a pick 12.

A 5% across the board improvement in our psyche will easily make up for the benefit of a pick 6 versus pick 12.

Our main improvement will not come via what the pick 6 would bring but rather getting on a 'mission' to win ... we are not at that point ... to win a premiership you have to be on a 'mission' to win one ... the damage of the slide that the last game would have bought, would have put us much further away from the starting point.

I don't get the fascination with recruiting a club's third or fourth best KPF. He's just a good/ordinary undersized back-up player.

Just signed a 1 year deal to stay at Geelong.

Our improvement would have come from trading pick 6 and Yarran to GWS for Patton or Boyd.

It looks like GWS are keen in our Yazz. But not sure for who, I'm thinking Taylor Adams maybe.

I'll take that win over Richmond rather than pick 6 thanks. Isn't that what we're here for, the purity of watching sport for what it is? We can't predict the future but we can enjoy the memories that the sport/club has given us. Pick 6 turns out to be a dud, then what do we have? Let's not over complicate things by going down the tanking discussion. Hawks and Pies won what they did for many reasons, 'tanking' was just a minor part of that (hawks didn't really tank anyway)

..the comeback wins rnd23 vs port, and elim win vs richmond would be very important for the team's growth.. ..even the loss vs swans would have been good for the team.. ..also good for the off-field team, everyone gets to see how the players go in the real big games..

The smart clubs will continue to cherry pick our players if we dont get the list balance right, we spend years developing players who we never really needed in the first place.

ruckmen- Jacobs picked off, now Hampson to follow
3 amigos then get Buckley just because he is Jimmys son- Eddie picked off
forward/ruck- Rowe and Casboult- Casboult will probably get picked off after 4 yrs of development, if we dont want him then cut him after 2 yrs!
taggers- who plays? Carrazzo, Curnow, Army
half backs- B&F winner and runner up both HBF, plus Zach, plus Boots, McInnes, White, Scotto, now we want Docherty, wtf! who plays and who gets picked off?
Why did we recruit Temay at 179cm - we have 6 blokes under 180cm tall.....how the hell are they going to get a game?

Stop wasting time developing players we dont need.

Hopefully Malthouse will restore the balance and he needs to take total control as he appears to be our only hope.

The Premiers have 9 players under 180cm.

They must really be doing something wrong then.

Yep. Think most agree with that.

Pick 6 is cursed anyway.

Pretty sure James Walker is the games record holder from that selection.

Self-sabotage? Don't worry too much about list management, just don't trade the first round pick too often unless it's for a mate (but be as loose as you like with the rest of them), give extended contracts to every player we've got who has played more than one senior game and pick a few kids we can utilise. That's the extent of it.

Any other names than for the ones that have regularly been thrown around, bluepill?

Mick is right to trade Mitch if a good offer is there. Will never be a composed player

Yarran also ought to be shipped off if right offer is made, will never have the hard, desperate hunger required

These things have been plain to see for years and if Mick can't change these attitudes probably nobody can

There is a list of players not going. Thomas, Shaw, Didak, Jolly, Krakour were ones mentioned.
