I'd like to think we come out just ahead there, especially given that we have players to cover our small-forward needs.

On a separate note; what are Richmond interested in Hampson for? Ruck depth?

..combo with maric..

Good on Eddie, smart move. Will be paid about 200k per season more that he's worth.

Not at all.
If you want to move someone out of a club they are happy at, thats market value.

I know, I wasn't meaning it seriously. It will be the same situation with us and Thomas.

Seriously though, I will miss Eddie he provided many highlights in some dark times but from a Carlton POV I wouldn't have been happy with paying him anything over 350k. Maybe 400k max if that's what it took to keep him. Adelaide and Betts both did well. So would've we if we didn't lose the compo pick for Thomas. I like free agency.

AFL Trade 2013 on Facebook has Kruezer being offered big deal from Collingwood, but no mention of what we might get in exchange.

Next they post this.......
"We have been advised by a WA-based former Carlton premiership player that Carlton are close to agreeing to a fundamental trade of Mitch Robinson, Shaun Hampson (who will play as a forward - ruck), Chris Yarran and Carlton's first round draft pick for pick #1 and Taylor Adams. Apparently all that the deal hinges upon is Adams agreeing to go to Carlton.

Is Carlton going into this trade period with too much of a hardcore mindset or do you agree with the supposed clean out?"

Not to sure how credible the source is. If there was anything in it we would be getting a key forward, VG mid for 1 very good player, one good player, one fringe player and first round draft pick?

I'm pleading ignorance... Who is running this trade page on Facebook? Do they have any credibility?

that would be an awesome trade for us...
I reckon Collingwood will offer an additional $100k to Adams just to stop the deal going through.

But, if it gets done, I'm going to go ahead and say it would be a bigger coup than Sydney getting Buddy!

I feel like we'd be robbing them. Throw in Laidler.

When was the last time you say a multi-player and multi-pick trade happen in the real world?

Again, massive mistake by the club not to tank it this year and end up with pick 6

Pick 6 and Yarran would have landed us Jono Paton

The bulldogs are planning to the pick 4 and a player to GWS for Patto.

Thanks Eddie, welcome daisy....
Now it's time to focus on Adams, docherty and Sam Reid...
Don't like our chances with Adams or Reid, but well worth a shot...
Docherty will probably cost us a second rounder, or a player...

Yeah, it confused me when the same site had Hammer going to Richmond as well as GWS and Kruezer going to Collingwood. We would be doing well to get trade swaps for Hammer from two different clubs at the same time. Trouble is if we traded both Kruezer and Hammer we would have one ruckman who usually plays about 6 games per year.
