Speaking to a mate who went to a Carlton GF do last week. Mentioned that we are the lightest team in the AFL. Could this be so? Lighter than the new franchise teams as well?

We have struggled over the past 5 years againts those teams with bigger bodied and heavier mid-fielders.

Even against Western Bulldogs, Adam Cooney and Ryan Griffen and Tom Young treated our mid-fielders with contempt.

And in previous years Adelaide Crows, Dangerfield, Sloan, Vince etc rag dolled our midfield.

We need bigger bodies in there - (with pace and skill wouldnt hurt either).
