Didak was a champ. Was. Three or four years ago. Arguably Collingwood's best player. Then. Now he is now old, slow, chronically injured, past it, and a shit bloke. Remind me again what he was doing in that car with Christopher Hudson.
Fev was just a goose.

Didak if we do get him he is a vertwran rookie or whatever its called
I hear they dont believe the draft runs deep .. so rather than take guys like Raso Tiller for andatory 2 years or Kerr for THREE.. they might be tempted to go Didak for a single season.

Theyre keeping all options open for topups ....

Also Scotland will be on the list or off depending on whats available.. salary cap wise etc.

Im sure if Didak comes Scotland will run around again on a years contract also.
If they get a player they want and need the salary cap space and room.. Scotto will retire..and i doubt Didak will come on too

I guess we are talking about players this trading season as opposed to last year where we said we were out of the picture "early doors".

Oh christ. This is starting to kill me.

Next we'll have white stripes across our jumper.

Give me a spell would you!

This is what clubs used to do to us 20 years ago........ take our older players........ and it got them nowhere. Now, we're doing the same?

Chasing other teams players, coaches and staff is a clear sign we have no idea how to develop and recruit for ourselves.

Asking to define a midfielder is pointless.

You need three different types for effectiveness:

Inside
Outside
Lock down

All three need to be gut runners and possess either elite disposal by hand or foot, preferably both.

Multiples of these are in every top 4 team both on the park and in the ressies.

Not rocket science.

Watch the Bullies come on in the next year or two. They have this mix progressing nicely.

..not sure i agree with this.. ..too many rotations through the middle now to have 'specialist mids' in there.. ..you need your mids to be both inside in and under as well as outside pace to spread or elite kicking to make up for pace lacking.. ..your outside mid types these days are your wing/hbf types.. ..as for lockdown/tagger mids, they need to get their own ball and be damaging as well, otherwise they're only ever gonna be B grade mids..

Absolutely, I was generalising to keep things short and concise. The days of the flat out tagger are well and truly over.

Even Crowley knows how to find the pill.

Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork, and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg, and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

Spot on. In the end all we will achieve is open up the path for Collingwood to get Taylor Adams.

I would prefer Adams to Thomas and Didak.

I don't mind the idea to get players like didak and staker. Reason being , I think the likes of Temay, Buckley, Graham and the kids we recruit in from years draft still need a year or two in the VFL to develop and work on their strength.

No doubt t the boys mentioned above will play games next year but having some senior experience around will help with these kids development rather than being forced to play whe they are not ready.

Plus Menzels knee will eventually break down and he will require a full traditional reco.

GET RASO TILLER

GET ARISE TROLL!

I heard we offered Didak a three-year deal at $350K/year.

Good deal?

Mick is not silly, no chance didak will be wearing our
colours.
Someone has started a rumour and we believe it...
Thomas and Adams I am hoping for, along with john Patton...
There will be a lot of rumours between now and trade week,
let's just leave the s€%? rumours for the muppets....

An interesting stat in Robert Walls' article on Freo today - since 2008 the highest draft pick they have traded was pick 61 for Griffin.

Does anyone think Mick is trying to sell him the idea of hanging up the boots and becoming his assistant ?
