There is no set answer.

There is no such things as "sweeteners", it's the discourse of people with no idea, who haven't seen fit to notice that such a thing has barely occured in trading in the past decade. Shaun Hampson is not going to be the one who changes how recruiters see this. It is just a concept that Bigfooty should probably earn royalties on.

Putting up "lets trade Chris Yarran or a second rounder for a midfielder" isn't an answer. It shows a lack of understanding of what is potentially available with that second pick, or what is realistically available from clubs during trade week. Let's also forget how the salary cap might play a part in this?

What logic is behind "Chris Yarran for someone else"? Our first pick should be used on "another"? And then you criticise the recruiters for not having the foggiest when its clear you don't either?

Rumour on BF, apparently on local Perth radio, a swap of Yarran for Scott Selwood.

Jesus Christ, why don't we just get Troy Longmuir, so we can then persuade his brother Justin to come and join us.

He's certainly the second best Selwood but a gun?

He's courageous enough, get's his hands on it a bit in traffic, but he's one paced and a that pace isn't very pacey.

The whole WC midfield was pretty ordinary this year so maybe I'm a bit harsh, he's just not very exciting.

Last time I checked people can speculate

Certainly in the NFL clubs often trade up into better position

His average disposals per game see him ranked 25th in the AFL, he is ranked 2nd for tackles, a B&F winner, a real team player who gets the ball a lot, and chases hard when the opposition have it, where do we sign!

Hopefully we get more steak knives from trading with West Coast.

wrong Selwood
So next year we'll see Selwood chasing Yarran while Yarran runs in and kicks a goal for WC

can anyone explain to me why McInnes gets a game ahead of laidler and will stay when laidler goes.
for mine there is no comparison in the two players

About as relevant as previous post comparing it to "Well, they do it in the NFL"

It was actually Adelaide radio.

Just thought I'd clear that up as Perth radio might have some local knowledge where Adelaide radio is probably just Andrew Jarman reading BigFooty....

McInnes looked good pre knee.

Give him a full pre season post knee and judge him then. He's 21.

Have been to the VFL a couple of times this year
What do people think of Kane Lambert?
Is he worth a punt in the 55-80 pick range?
Looks light on but is always at the contest
Any thoughts or rumours about Carlton's interest/not?????

if we intend to get Daisy via free agency we are far better off getting him by way of a trade (eg: in exchange for a 5th round pick to Coll) so as to allow us to be adequately compensated for the loss of Betts.
