..fair enough, was just goin' by the reported 4 year 400Kp.a deal that he was signed up on, and then admittedly took it for granted it stayed the same.. ..which is why i mentioned it'd be nice if he did take a pay cut.. ..do i assume he did?, that the original contract reported is wrong?, or worse yet, that the contract went up..?..

No real surprises there.
Laidler wouldn't be worth much on the trade table as he's hardly played at senior level for 2 years.
