I have this terrifying feeling that Campo might stay. This would be devestating for the Blues, it would mean we would have to accomodate this over-rated past-it footballer. The club has done far too much for him for too long.
I will happily trade him for Essendon*'s #5 (Not James hird, but the #5 trainer/water boy).

I hope Campo goes tmrw b/c I dont want to have to go through the anxiety that we may be stupid enough to pick him up in the PSD.

The departure of Campo is a step in the right direction and will send a message to all players and supporters.

Whilst were make big statements - Lets have a ceremony where Ratten Takes back the Number 7 from Davies and gives him back his old #13 (sorry Mil)

fair points alround

Campo did us a huge favour by quitting. I thank him for protecting us from our own ineptitude and poor management. Now, he just has to keep holding out for the brass ring from Sheeds....

YOU ARE RIGHT TO EXPECT MORE FROM ANOTHER CLUB, CAMPO... SO... GO THERE!

Campo would be very handy for us playing across half back at the salary he has been offered by the club. If Campo is not traded toay, it is unlikly he would go into the PSD, he will either quit altogether or return to the club as the door is still open.

If the door is still open lets shut it quickly.

I will always remember Campo as a fine Carlton player and had hoped he'd stay. He lost me when he publicly walked out on the club and we're forced to start considering offer's of Ted Richards and otehr Essendon* trash for him because our position was so greatly weakened.

At this stage, I'll happily take him walking for nothing into the PSD. We can't complain too much, that's how we got Stevo. Easy come, easy go, and we're still ahead, as far as I'm concerned.

You want more from another Club, Campo, over the club which gave you as many years as you gove it? Fine, go, don't come back.

Brad I look at it this way

Now I am not condoning Campo's actions But I see the situation like this

Campo has thrown a bit of a temper tantrum. Immature? Yes. But once he calms down, hopefully, he will see things in a different light, realise how good he has it at Carlton accept the offer and return to play some good footy for us.

:-D

If I publicly threw a temper tantrum like that at work my employer would quite rightly not accept me back.

Let's hope he put's a HUGE price on his head, Essendon* can't fit it into the salary cap and he plays next season for the SANFL Eagles.

Oh wait...Essendon* don't have a salary cap limit :?

$250K Price tag i would expect possibly for 2 years by the Bombers

Good luck to him maybe he can infect the Bombers over 2 years

have a few bombers mates who hate him gonna give them each a wallet pic of Campo to carry around with them..... lol they are so dark for getting Campo. I think they hate him more than we do

How different is $250K to what we offered?

Gee you should come to my workplace, we had a couple of lunatics try and burn our building down a few days ago.

Players and officals throw hissy fits all the time at footy clubs, has something to do with the environment they work in I think. Reading TC its seems supporters like to get in on the act once in a while as well :-D .

Mark tell me you are just saying this to bait Synbad please?

I've defended Campo in the past but his behaviour has shown he is a sulky, selfish player who has no business being a part of our football club.
As others have said even if we get nothing for him in the long term this will be a win for the culture of the club.

With trade time over there is a real danger Campo will stay

We can only rely on his manager forcing him into the PSD

No BB, I am not baiting Synbad.

I do not condone what Campo has done, and I reckon a few players have had a massive reality check this last week and they can chose to either play for the club on the clubs terms as Whitnal did or not. It is up to them. As I have stated Campo paying across half back would be good for us and I would be quite happy for him to do so. To lose him may be just cutting our noses off just to spite our face and its not like we are oozing talent at the moment.

I would rather pick up some nobody from Albury than welcome back our so called vice captain who walked out on the club.!

I think the fact taht Essendon* are pretty confident that Campo will make it to pick #4 in the PSD says a lot. I'm sad that I want him gone because in a perfect world a guy who has played in a premiership at the club and over 200 games deserves better. But it works both ways.

If Selwood and Campo are available in the PSD, we won't be re-selecting Campo and we'll be all the better for it.

I agree with BM.
If we were to rid ourselves of every egotistical greedy sook, we would have a list of 12.
Campo rolled the dice and came up short.
A trip up the PSD taints a player more than a trade does.
Hopefully Campo has time to think about how petulant he's been and comes back on a reasonable contract.

The last thing I want to see is Sheedy get him for nothing.
Then again, if he goes to Essendon*, good luck to him and hope it all turns to shit.

I don't blame Campo for anything that's happened in the last week.

This is the way the system works.

We make an offer.

He rejects it.

He says he wants a trade.

We try to arrange one.

It doesn't happen.

He goes into the PSD or he signs for what we've offered already.

Where's the problem?

My problem with Campo is that he's a little whinging sook on the field and has never managed to get over his own mental weakness enough to set a positive example for the younger players on our list.

That's why I don't want him at the club - not because he wants out.

If we pick up Selwood he'll be leaving Brisbane for similar reasons to Campo.
