We are simply not as good as they are.

Much more midfield depth required.

Throw the kitchen sink at it, f#%k the bombs. I'd rather watch us get hit on the rebound having a crack than trying to play this damage limitation bs

Can't play the modern game if you don't want to run our can't run with intent to follow players back and pressure.

Modern game is about running and pressurising when you don't have the ball.

That sets you up for when you do have the ball.....

No. The game we play is kick it long to a contest down the boundary. No run through the middle. No pressure around the packs.
That's the players fault, obviously.

We are playing a game plan that worked in 2011.

Probably work for other teams ok, we're simply not suited to that game plan. Mick must work that out and play to our strengths. He can tweaked within that plan not drop it completely not drop it for something we're not suited to.

I wonder whether we are fit enough for the top teams. It looks like we don't have the puff

New to the matchday thread?

This is pretty reasonable.

It's a bit extreme this week. I'm as frustrated as anyone, but FFS.

Swans are too quick, too good. The ground is just an absolute disgrace.

Are we going for a season low tackle count?

Bell one of the few to show something in midfield. Robbo tried hard that quarter as well.

Look at the positives. We've got some finals experience into players that we didn't expect to get. Unfortunately quite a few of those players should not play for us again.

Thought the exact same when I saw it, what's worse is I was expecting to see him laughing before the camera showed it

Sydney obviously got the conditions they wanted. Were never going to be able to match Sydney's strong bodies on a wet track. 2nd time this year. Would have been a far better game, and we might have been a sneaky chance on a dry deck.

Forget about hard running...when we win the ball they won't be used because the players are instructed to bomb it long.

#2 long kicking side this season.

So if you have someone running hard next to you the instruction is to bomb it long - who cares if it is 3 on 1 or 4 on 1 up forward. Kick long as if Tippett and Carey are there.

Lol
You have to have pressure on the ground to have the game played to a level you can compete.
You can't compete if you're not running two ways the game us okayed in your half.... That means you're not going to transfer the ball properly and link it.
Talking about the gameplan if your competitive side is low is ridiculous

We bomb it because of their work rate forcing us to get it out if here.

I bet even our tackle count us pathetic.
