Alot of players aren't running hard enough.
Can't play the modern game if you don't want to run our can't run with intent to follow players back and pressure.

Modern game is about running and pressurising when you don't have the ball.

That sets you up for when you do have the ball.....

We worked for a few weeks (half's) in a row. Sadly that is the club's limit. After that it's back to it's normal, disgraceful work ethic. Mental concentration doesn't work much past that.

Forget about hard running...when we win the ball they won't be used because the players are instructed to bomb it long.

#2 long kicking side this season.

So if you have someone running hard next to you the instruction is to bomb it long - who cares if it is 3 on 1 or 4 on 1 up forward. Kick long as if Tippett and Carey are there.

Until each team plays each other the same number of times, the AFL, as a fair dinkum competition, cannot be taken seriously.

He (Mr Swann) said the honour and pride associated with the club's traditional navy blue jumper was priceless.

A tough tough lesson has been dished out tonight for this group. Some will have the chance to let the lesson sink in over the next 6 months, while others will have this as their last memory of their time at Carlton.
