That’s right, they are all assigned defensive roles or in the forward line awaiting the taggers to win the ball and send it down there.

As other mentioned, I'd rather them learn the defensive mechanisms this year and emerge next year more rounded.

Well rounded would be defending the whole ground not just one boundary and leaving the corridor and other wing open to be spread open like butter.

You dont teach players defence by playing taggers to cover for them.

I'm sure Mick is a very good coach but the propensity to make up shit to cover every move he makes is farcical. You know what MJ, Mick might just get things wrong occasionally, just like everyone else.
