I don't even believe in the Final 8.

But the Final 9, now that's a different matter.

We should forfeit playing in finals if we make it because Essendon** lose their points, that would be an absolute disgrace!!!!. Every other team should follow suit until the last position on the ladder and let the wooden spooner play in the final instead.........oh wait a minute  :donk: :donk: :donk:

Would be hilariously ironic to knock out Richmond after finishing 9th

Although i don't have the energy, it would be interesting to see how the ladder would look if Essendon*'s season was scrubbed of wins and losses against each opposition and the percentages adjusted.

If their wins were automatically given to their opponents we'd be in the 8!

YEP, this is the only thing I care about!! It would be absolutely hilarious

One thing is certain - we won't win the flag..... SO...... Let's knock out Richmond in an elimination final, absolutely hang it on them for the week, then get absolutely rolled by whatever top 4 side we play the week after!!

Yes, what a pisser.
The one year the tigers dont finish 9th, the 9th team plays finals.

Mind you, I'm not suggesting we're there yet but at least we're in the hunt.

We gave it a good shake in 2011.

If we get in, Richmond will be crapping their dacks!!
Remember 2 weeks ago,
Remember earlier in the year when they nearly choked (but for Yarran missing a sitter),
Remember last year when Brock iced them in the dying seconds,
Remember all their misery in recent years - they will have MASSIVE demons playing on their minds.
And if Norf get in? They will be peeing AND crapping their dacks.

Beat Richmond, and then it's a blockbuster against either the Cats or Hawks, with a few of our players back and fit, and we have proven over the last two years that we can beat them at our best...who knows? Win, and then it's a prelim!
(Of course, if we have to go up and play in Sydney instead, then I admit we're probably screwed.)

CMON BLUES!
PROVE ALL OF US MOANING MYRTLES WRONG!
FINALS OR BUST!

I had a dream we won 5 in a row & we partied like we never have before.

Gotta be in it to win it, we will be rank underdogs & that my friends is when we play our best footy.

This could be a hollywood flick in the making.

My dream result necessarily includes kicking the Poos & Wees out of the finals

Well, I'm originally from Denmark. In 1992 DK just missed qualification for the European Soccer finals on goal difference in a group Yugoslavia won. After the Danish players already had started their summer holidays and indulged in burgers and beers, they were called up just before the EC finals because UEFA decided to ban Yugoslavia due to the civil war that had erupted. The Danes came in under prepared and the biggest outsiders of the tournament. They won their group, beat Holland (reining champs) in the semis and Germany (reining World Champs) in the final. So dreams can come true. I was drunk for a week....

As they haven't won anything since 1966, I would think we all be dead before that happens....

No way.

If the winner of the gold medal is determined to have used performance enhancing drugs to get there, do you think second place is not entitled to the medal?

If we make it we deserve it.

They must be shitting themselves. What's their record against us? A single 1 point win from the last 12 starts or something?

It would be worth making it just to emotionally cripple them further.
