Port wearing the original B&W guernsey for the game. Confirmed by Ed and Kochie.

Why?

Last game ever at AAMI Stadium, Port won 13 Premierships at the ground.

That's a good omen for us!

Nobody wins their last game at their home stadium prior to a move.

Collingwood lost
We lost
Fitzroy lost
South Melbourne???

Having said that though......... this is a MUST win SEASON DEFINING game for us............... so we're sure to stuff it up!

Didn't the Crows win their last game there, just last week?

NO...................... yes :-(

If we play with the effort and intensity of last week with some improved accuracy, we'll win.

Just had a quick look and the last time I could find we won the last game of the season was 2004 by 1 point against Collingwood.
Fev, Kouta and Davies kicked 3 goals each.

In Wingard or Hartlett limits some of their ability to damage us. Can focus on closing Boak down and Robbie Gray is the other danger.

It's not up to us, it's up to North or Brisbane to win. We could just lay down

Thats incredible. I remember the game well. We came off a pretty good season, winning about 10 games or so and thinking we were over the worst of it. Being thankful we had Pagan as coach. If only we had known what was ahead.

Was that the one where Davies kicked 2 or 3 in the last quarter to get us over the line ?

I could be wrong but i think that was the earlier game. Remember Kouta playing well, i think Collingwood came back at us late and we held on.

Yeah, Davies 3 in the last terms was in the earlier game against them from 2004.
Yeah, I too thought that after 10 wins in 2004, and the bumper 2005 pre season, that we were back in town! Boy was I in for a shock!!!!

We are always focussing on shutting down match winners rather than having our own players doing some damage

We don't have any match winners in 2013 :-)

No that was earlier in the year, a Saturday afternoon game.

The game being mentioned I think had a Tarrant kick after or close to the siren. The Pies were tanking in this game, they wanted the priority pick for Pendles.

Agro,

We spent 5 years ignoring team defense and running forward of the ball. This idea that "Carlton is too defensive" and Malthouse is negative is a load of crock. Our players need to learn to defense first like Collingwood, Geelong, Sydney and Fremantle
