Duigan and Joseph are done now as they were previously. Not sure why we needed to know again.

True that but it's more than two years old. We are a club that's easily psyched out but that comes with the mix of players we have.

No surprise. I called it early in the game when we were dominating, But not scoring majors. Said to my bro that we will be doing our best to ensure the cheats stay in the game to only pinch it! Came true.

WEAK Mentally and Physically!

3 9 in the first qtr then 4 12 in the second half.

The game should have been over at the 20 minute mark of the first qtr.

Some of the posts here are way over the top but its understandable - the way the side has played they don't deserve to play finals. The list is capable of finals footy but the game style has not been molded to suit the list.

Smashed in contested possessions 169 to 131. Losing the previous week's BOG early kills too. They ran over the top in the last qtr, but it should have been all over in the first.

3.9

MM has mentioned it before - when a few shots are missed early it is infectious.

Some of it is due to flawed kicking actions - look at Hungry Armfield's effort. His kicking action is one of the worst you will ever see in the AFL. Amateur stuff. There was another very poor error he made when in front of Bay 13 decided to keep the ball in play even though Carlton were outnumbered. Cheats won the ball, got it inside 50 for a goal.

Once again there was a lack of strategy wrt kickouts.

Curnow was excellent on Stanton. Simmo BOG, dropping in front of the cab basher time and time again.

Lots of bombing to their spare man - sitting in front of Henderson or Casboult, whether it be Hooker or Carlisle or Pears.

MENZEL....how could anyone not be excited. Look at the mark he took in the last minute. Nearly everything he touches turns to gold. Look at the contested in the 3rd qtr where he had to make a contest and did, split the pack open for Eddie.

Hurley gave Waite a bath early.

just about the most gut wrenching loss I've ever experienced to be honest.

players looked like they didn't give a crap and they were the ones with nothing to play for

I can understand sometimes shit kicking can cost you a game but this was lack of heart, lack of effort, lack of pride.

just disgusting really

The bombers are about to have shit rain down upon them like never before, and yet they are that much better positioned to have a crack at 17 its not funny. @#$%&! me we're shit. I've been to some shithouse games over the last decade, but I reckon tonight nearly takes the cake. @#$%&! you Carlton.

The most stupid thing is that we can lose next week, be 3 games out of the 8 and be gifted a final (depending on other results and EFC* bans).

After tonight I for one would be happy to have the teams placed 9 to 16 play paper rock scissors to get 8th spot

Seemed a planned move and it worked often
But his lack of awareness once he gets it and his resultant tendency to get caught is a major flaw

I thought Bell was awful tonight

His composure and decision making is not up to standard

Hopefully, he can rectify these problems because he does have a physical presence

He is a butcher

Rubbish. That pass to Hendo I think it was, was inch perfect. Not his fault they couldn't convert.
He does get caught with it at least once a week but he should have got at least one back that wasn't paid.
he needs to play footy at the top level to get used to the pace of it and his awareness will improve. Being in the best every week in the twos doesn't let you learn how to play AFL footy, it just earns you a chance to play and learn. At least he got it and had a crack. Have a look at his effort against Murphy's. I'd rather Bell. At least he has a go.

We are an embarrassment. Don't deserve to play finals and probably won't.

can quite easily still make it - which is a massive joke in itself

brisbane should lose to geelong
north should lose to collingwood at the G
eagles need to totally smash adelaide and wont

and we can then lose and still come 9th

sick joke

I'm praying we don't get a final. To be embarrassed on the big stage again.

As I mentioned in the Port pre-match thread, filth might let North win.

Custer was meant to die at his last stand, not get saved by a mob of point kicking flower.

MM sacked our midfield coaches and tackling coach and these are two areas we have gone backwards this year!
Just something to keep in mind there is no one man who is the messiah and we have wasted a year.
Hopefully the ego will allow a few extra coaches for next year to come on board.
Our kicking was woeful and we ran out of puff in the last quarter.

It frustrates me no end losing to this mob every year I go the same result.

My only come back to the Essendon*** scum is that we now know why they run out the last quarter better!

He's blooding a new midfield slowly

Bell, Cachia, Graham, Lucas, Curnow etc

He knows this list isnt premiership material

He knows he needs to bring on a new wave

Problem is due to poor recruitment this new wave isn't good enough

And even worse it'll take more than one summer to clean out the list

In some respects Carlton might be Micks biggest challenge

At least at Coll he had a great admin and resources

And WC he had a list

At CFC he's got an ageing core who arent good enough anyway, a stack of B Graders, and a stack of pussies

He's taking a good hard look at the list, learning so much every game. He knows what he needs to do

But of course there are stupid fans who think he should be able to wave a wand and we are premiers over night

How does anything you have added refute what I have posted.

I happen to agree he is adding to the midfield with what has been left on the list but he came on board late after his book tour and got rid of coaches that were doing a better job than anything he has put in place this year.

He has seen the form and value of several players go backward due to his coaching style or persona.
There have been a few that have gone forward.

I expect to see changes in the assist coaching department that he ravaged this year.

I expect to see major changes to the list.

MM is not infallible and under his watch we have gone backwards this year.

Going forward he is the coach and hopefully the system he puts in place for next year will be better thought out and take us forward.
