Well said

Nah, apparently it's the fault of a guy who's coached us for 20 games and had no freedom to make changes before coming on board.

Yeah I know
It's a young midfield, but it's ridiculous to think maybe Mick is trying to teach them to be defensive as part of their development

Mick can't stop Betts from having no composure to stop, turn around and slot am easy goal to put us 24 pts up

Mick can't help Waite continue to be a disappointment

Etc

Is it possible to trade our entire list for Joel Sellwood?

We chose Gibbs...

See how hard Mick hit the wall when Betts missed that shot
He knew that was our chance to put them away and we blew it
Lack of leadership
Just an average list

So, all that posting in the Essendon** thread has really come back to bite us, hey.

Thanks guys.

How do you figure that? Are you Luke Darcy or something? Do you think a win vindicates them???????

Lets not pretend it was bad kicking.
It was poor leadership and understanding of whats needed to be great.

Did not hurt like earlier in the year, we won except on the scoreboard.
Somehow we could not kick the goals, Essendon**** hung in and won. They were not the better team but made shots count.

We have too many players that choke under pressure.

This will hurt WAY more mate, we've turned Hird into a conquering hero/martyr... another spiritless thumping would have give him the anticlimactic kick up the arse he deserved. That club song was the most boisterous I've ever heard... made me phyiscally ill.

This ... absolutely. Can't believe we let this happen.
Unforgivable.

Yes. He'll go out on a winning note, stand out for a year and then come back and start all over again, the all conquering hero.
I can not believe we allowed it.

I just can't.

The end of the season can't come fast enough for me now. I don't want to play finals. I don't even want to play Port.

I want MM to clean out the whole effing lot of them and start from scratch and I hope we win another flag before I become an ex parrot.

Can we have a word from Wayne Hughes about what he was looking for when he was drafting?

I do understand that our poor kicking is a key factor in the loss.

But that all comes back to our lack of mental strength.

Worse than missing so many shots on goal is our lack of killer instinct when we had the momentum. Even with our unacceptable kicking for goal we still should have been able to take the game out of their reach.

That passage of play in the 3rd quarter on the forward flank where we got too cute typified our night.

We need to forget about being flashy front runners and start learning how to step on the throat of our opponents and not letting go until the final siren.

Wasn't this against the side who'd lost all but one quarter out of their last 4 games because the players have been distracted by thoughts that they might get cancer?

What a joke our football club has become.

Gibbs, Yarran, Betts - all poor.

"Hand it to me on a silver platter" type football. Pathetic.

That's harsh on Yarran. Close to his best game of the year. Gibbs was serviceable. The inability of the side to nail a win through its poor kicking for goal is astonishing. With every miss they believed.

It was as angry as I can recall being after a game. I hope we lose next week and NM beats Collingwood. Playing in September would only send a message we clearly don't deserve. I pity Kade Simpson. He bled for the club tonight.

What'd be worse we'd probably play Richmond, win, kicked 18.2 and really paper of the cracks
