So many on here so overconfident, I know they (Bummers) are in strife at the moment ....But
its games like these that stirs the blood in both teams...

Oh, couldn't agree more. This is just the sort of game we'd traditionally drop.

Let's just hope they've finally grown up.

Look if we can't beat the Mexican national muscular dystrophy football team we don't deserve to play finals.

If we play with Kruezer AND Warnock in the same side we could be in for big trouble. We need to show these guys no weakness and smash them from the start.
Warnock is a waste of space and has the onfield presence of a mouse.

Yet played really well last week and had 43 hitouts against the bloke who's going to be named All-Australian ruckman.

3 really good ones in that 43 too.

Pretty sure Ryder won the game for them last time. Kruezer was cooked in the final quarter from memory.

Think they won because Carlyle went forward and marked everything after Waite got injured. If they do that this week we have an extra tall to go with him.

warnock stays in to do what? he has the best spectator view on the ground - walking around from contest to contest, tapping the ball to his feet when asked to. takes no further part in the game. please prove me wrong - i want to see something in the Marks column on the stat sheet other than 0 or 1.

Hopefully we are showcasing him to SOS at GWS... Him and our 1st rounder for GWS #1. Get it done!

Wouldn't have minded seeing O'Keefe get a run, even at Grahams expense.
The way I see it we probably wouldn't lose or gain anything on field.
Graham's a certainty to be around for 2014, but I believe O'Keefe would be playing for his AFL career.

I've never seen O'Keefe play, but a few posters here rate him very highly. He's been cruelled by injury,
but played very well in the twos last week. A few games now would give the chance to save his career.

Where is the logic in that?
Graham was in great form consistently in the VFL. You dont bring him in, make him sub and then drop him.
That's not player management. (Mind you, that was our modus operandi earlier in the year)

If O'Keefe wants a game, he has to force someone out. You have to send consistent strong messages to the players. Games are not gifted and form is to be rewarded. Graham will play well if he is given the opportunity and he deserves the opportunity.

Whilst I agree about Graham your comments about games being gifted are off the mark. Bootsma & Yarran certainly haven't been given games on form.

I reckon Graham would be the one to make way for Garlett when he comes back next week, injuries notwithstanding.

That just gave me a good fundraising idea. Carlton could auction the "ultimate match day experience". They give you stilts and the number 11 jumper and you stroll around watching the game inside the boundary line.*

* you must contest the occasional ruck contest

..some folks have short memories.. ..or perhaps selective memories..?.. ..Krooz and Ryder battled well last game, neither beat the other.. ..yes Krooz was stuffed by late last Q, after being a huge influence/presence for the first 3 Q's.. ..not his fault mids stopped running in the last.. ..as for now being too tall, we swapped a 3rd tall for a ruck.. ..it's not like we swapped our best runner for a player that doesnt offer anything.. ..Krooz and Knockers will combo ruck and Hendo and Bolt will combo KPF.. ..one of Hendo/Bolt will often lead up [tall contested marking high HF style], and really will only feel a slight impact on lack of run up fwd when Knockers is resting, and he may be rested half the time via the bench [which he usually does].. ..Waite will be playing def from here on out i reckon..

..i reckon Krooz and either Knockers/Hammer are the best ruck combo we can have, i personally would prefer Hammer and Krooz cos both offer a little something up fwd, but alas hammer be injured.. ..i also think hendo and bolt are our best KPF combo, by a fair margin.. ..both work hard, although bolt is behind in fitness.. ..but fitness will last longer if he plays 1 role, a'la KPF.. ..ruck and kpf is very taxing, and beyond him on a regular basis at the moment.. ..Bolt as back-up ruck struggled last week, 8 hitouts for 0 to adv., yet showed plenty up fwd.. ..MM likes pack busting contested beasts, which hendo and bolt are becoming.. ..it suits his gameplan, and it's predictable for the rest of the team..

..and as for us being too tall, i think we're still shorter than the bombres' selected team..

we've seen some OTT meltdowns here, but should we lose to an Essendon* team that's on their knees, i'm predicting this will be the one meltdown to rule them all.
