Imagine the winning margin had Bootsma not started on the sook!

We still have a lot of talent on our list, we will still turn over 8-10 at the end of the year but if showed we have enough talent existing that can be added too.

Also this will have done Warnock's trade value no harm (if we can get something worthwhile)

Hmm, must have been a different match I saw today, the Warnock I saw had no positive influence on Carltons win, he got a lot of hitouts but 90% went direct to Richmond players. I would say he was Richmonds most effective ruck men today.

Win our last 2, Port lose theirs, we play finals. Simple. Don't give me the undeserved crap either. 8th is 8th (except when it's 7th).

Why would you want to lose Warnock after his great tapwork today?

You must be joking. Getting your hand first to the ball and dropping it at your own feet is NOT tapwork. Hitting it to a Richmond player, including the opposing ruckman is NOT tapwork
He is not a tap ruckman's bootlace.
How many times did McLean have to dive at Warnock's feet to get the footy?
Not sure myself but he got pinged twice for htb because of it.
His five around the ground disposals were a bonus, though. He usually only gets one.

And for all the Malthouse lovers, they won that playing the Ratts game plan, which is why MM was trying to break the desk and frothing at the mouth. This list was gathered to play open footy and when they do it, they play good footy. MM likes close in, around the boundary stuff. He'll be spewing at the number of goals we got by playing the corridor.
Great fighting win by the boys and it bodes well for the future. No changes next week and we beat the drug cheats to boot.

Menzel will be a class act.
Graham didn't get many chances but he didn't disgrace himself.
Bell got plenty of it but needs to get used to the pace of the game.
Robbo was Robbo and that's what you get with him. 100% effort with a few shockers thrown in.
Casboult is a better prospect than Rowe but that last kick for goal was a shocker.
Bootsma looks as though he needs a few years in the gym and a suntan and was a bit out of his depth early and didn't really recover.
Touhy very good again
Armfield a good negating game and got it a bit himself.
Best game I've seen from Gibbs for a while. he actually went in and under a couple of times.
Yarran's kicking skills have deserted him. he's like Garlett last year. He did get a few touches and tackled better but his disposal by foot was awful
Hendo great.
Murphy serviceable
Simmo gutsy
Walker serviceable
Jamo killed Jack
Waite up and down
Betts tried to get in to it but lost the handle.
Scotland will be hard to replace
Curnow shut down Cotchin except for about 5 minutes all up, great run with game
McLean will get another contract. Great game from him.

And congratulations to the umpire for his 400th game. Now flower off you're shit.

An entire rebuild isn't necessary though. There are lots of building blocks there as long as the development is done correctly, as long as Rogers continues on from 2012, as long as we don't trade the earth for a star to settle the nuffy fans, as long as MM is surrounded with better assistants, as long as the board got a clue.

Harley has shit for brains but he made a good point which seems to get lost so often by Carlton supporters - clubs are able to replenish their list and still challenge for the premiership AT THE SAME TIME.

Look at Geelong and Sydney.

We'd like to really open Essendon* next week & as much as I can't stand Fremantle, they'd like to touch up Port next week & then it's us vs Port in the last round.

BS you might not understand that a lot of midfielders prefer the ruck drop it at their feet.

SOme rucks like NN hit it beyond the inner circle...allowing their teammate to push their opponent IN towards the contest.

There are so many centre square nuances you lot don't seem to understand.

Whether the ruck can hit it at certain points on the clock, whether the midfielder likes it in space or dropped at the rucks feet.

Considering they have Freo in Perth and we have the beat Essendon* any way, Round 23 could be a big game. It is also the first Carlton game I am taking my 7 year old boy to. Could be very nervous!

Imagine if we had a crack in the first qtr and it wasn't delivered on a silver platter to Riewoldt.

Boots wasn't the right match up, but it looked worse for him on account of a poor team effort across the board.

@FoxFootyAnalyst: Zach Tuohy has now kicked 10.4 from outside 40m this year (12.6 in total). #AFLTigersBlues

It isn't his fault that he was assigned Riewoldt.
