In seriousness, though, how about the MC focus on some development for next year, and live with being thrashed in the remaining 3 rounds.

Specifically, the following.

Followers/Midfielders: Rotation of Murphy, GIBBS, McLean, WALKER and CACHIA not as a tagger but as a ball winner. Just see how those three caps players go for three weeks, in the clinches, go hard or go home. Lucas and GRAHAM deserve a go on the outside. Curnow was probably our best on the weekend.

I think Simpson has done his best work rebounding out of the backline, but because Gibbs and Walker should be pushed into the middle, let's do something about that.

Backline: Jamison, Tuohy, LAIDLER (in the absence of Watson or McInnes), Simpson, YARRAN, Bootsma - Yarran to the half back line. He's played his best footy there, give him a chance in the next three games to get some sort of confidence back in him because it's not happening at the other end of the field.

Forward: Henderson is the main man, Rowe may as well stay seeing as he has been extended another year and it looks like Casboult is on the outs. Menzel a must. I'd be in favour of icing Betts out of the team (he has been seriously shite) and perhaps bring in BUCKLEY in his place. Garlett if his leg holds up.

That means it's time to go: Robinson, Hampson, Ellard, Scotland (retired), Casboult, Mitchell, Davies, Joseph, Dale and sadly it seems as though Bell is not considered as part of the future (which is odd because we all loved him as a future prospect).

That's 10 gone plus more rookies. 3 smashings to come but importantly looking at structuring any hope of a winning team for the future.

as long as Menzel, Buckley and Graham all play and not as the sub I'll be content with three losses cos this season is done and our list needs drastic changes

I agree. We might get a 0-0 all draw against Essendope who have put the cue in the rack, but we should aim to win but not mind so much if we don't as long as those three you mention get 90%+ TOG.

Waite can be the sub.

Nobody at any football club should ever be content with losing, if we ever want to be better than what we are now then our club needs to go into every contest hungry for the win no matter the opponent or the situation.

Everyone gets the wrong message if you go into games prepared to accept a loss.

Hope he takes heed of Brereton's advice on League Teams a week or two back to seek some sprint training.

Even If I don't agree with the specifics, there would have to be 9 changes wouldn't there?

I think we should sign Luke McInnes up for 4 years. Andrew..... two.

Happy for Watson to stay on the list, but why not 1 year?

Im happy with giving him two years... He seems quite affected by confidence at times, and I would much prefer to see him given a chance next year with no outside influences (such as whether his contract will be renewed, or not) on his mind.
Was starting to look pretty solid until his injury this week. There may be hope yet.

I'm not sure why people think Bell is gone. He can't play in the seniors because he is not a nominated rookie. Once McInnes came back he was simply confined to the Northern Blues to work on his deficiencies.

Rookies can be elevated anytime now. Open slather after round 17 I believe

I just can't see the point of removing 9 players to bring in 9 draft picks. And its no point trading Hampson for a 4th round draft pick unless the draft is really deep which I am lead to believe it is not. You have to trade to get something better otherwise what's the point. So identifying what trades will occur is difficult as its hard to tell what other teams want. Having said that it is highly probable one or both Warnock and Hampson will be offered to see what other clubs are willing to offer. I believe the following players will be delisted:
Davies
AJ
Mitchell
Duigan
Laidler

Bell has played well in the Northern Blues and has probably been in front of Graham in terms of consistency and getting the hard ball. He may not get a game because of $ or further development.

Depends where the picks are.

4-5 in first 3 rounds
Curnow and Cachia upgraded to the Senior list
Thomas as a free agent
PSD pick
