What backward thinking playing Henderson - Waite - Rowe in the one forward line.

Pagan thinking....

Yes it was made nigh on impossible to win with no rotations for the last quarter. But fact is the game was lost well before that. Another heartless and insipid performance from a below average team which is sadly wearing the navy blue. I'm Very very angry and disappointed.

So he should know it. He created it.
What an inept display in the coaches box. Gibbs and Simpson dragged out of the play and the pensioners in the box allow it to occur. What's more, when our rotations are shot in the last quarter, they still failed to release them to give us some run.
Smashed at the set plays again and our kick ins have become plain embarrassing.

Just a tip Mick. If you work your arse off the win the ball, its stupidity to kick it to a 50/50 and give up the advantage deliberately.
As for Wiley and Green our midfield coaches, well, they're just plain embarrassing themselves. We've gone from an elite stoppage team to VFL standard.
(Or should that be Under 16 standard as thats where we "poached" Wiley from)

Going nowhere fast.

Hard to be optimistic for next year and unfortunately a few thereafter.

We probably need to clean the whole joint out and start again.

Appears we will hand over the keys to the kingdom to a bloke who is likely past it.

A mate asked me seriously at the start of the year whether this was Pagan all over again. I said, don't think so, MM has a helluva lot more to work with.

Clearly I was wrong and it will take a lot of convincing for someone to prove to me that MM is what we need.

We can't defend, struggle to score, we have a terrible system of ball movement, skills still ordinary and our better players have struggled. Not too mention that our work rate, when compared to the benchmark teams, leaves a lot to be desired.

Poses the question, what has he actually improved since he took over?

Sometimes I wish I could take the carlton out of me.

I want to be able to lose and not feel anything.
Nothing. Kaput. Would be great after this afternoon.

I'm sick of feeling this.

Spent squillions to get this rubbish

Pagan all over again.

A desperate pathetic board.

People need to take a close look at who is on our coaching panel; the lack of experience in Green's case, or in the case of Wiley, the amount of time out of the game.

Deterioration in the centre square.

Deterioration in kickouts

Playing 3 talls in the forward line.

Dinosaurs!

And the board have wasted squillions on this shit.

nah don't blame the coaches....don't you get it, Judd, McLean, Murphy, Cachia, Curnow, Carrazzo, Gibbs aren't ball winners are they?

Warnock and Hampson aren't good centre square palmers of the ball are they?

One thing is sure, when the pressure is on for someone to take responsibility, million dollar Mick won't be putting his hand out. And don't tell me it takes years to learn a game plan. How long did the Dockers take to learn Ross Lyon's and get to the second week of the finals, how long has it taken Ken Hinkley to drive basket case Port right by us. I feel sorry for Marc Murphy, he is not a natural captain. Surely Carrazzo for a few years while we develop or identify natural leadership. Again, Carlton deciding the best player should be captain. You can't imagine us ever appointing Maxwell or Harley as captain. And if Mick needs a year or so to 'understand' his players, why did we appoint him? Surely of you are making a $1m appointment you expect the appointee to hit the ground running. You expect him to have done loads of homework before he even applies for the job and gets interviewed.....except we don't do interviews at Carlton we just get Swanny to ring up one of his old mates who is short of a job. If there is no action at committee level at season's end then we really are doomed. It means we don't have any supporters who would be capable of improving the club at board level, who are interested enough to go for it.

And what did Laidler and Duigan do? Did they tell MIck they liked Nathan Buckley? Neither are stars but I can't believe that they wouldn't be better than some of the guys running around, at least they have some leadership. And Yarran will get bagged, maybe he deserves it. But you pay coaches lots of money to get the best out of all their players. It seems certain that Mick can't do that with Yarran (even tho Ratts could and I was anti Ratts) and we will trade Yarran - close to our most talented player in a side that lacks talent. Here we are on the Carlton merry-go-round, repeating all the same mistakes over and over.

Don't see anything wrong with playing 3 talls fwd.
Problem is they all lead to the same spot, at the same time, and thats generally the boundary.

If they separated, spread the defence, and one stays deep, we'd be much better

Hard to see how anyone can't see the change in the way we are being coached. We've gone from unpredictable but exciting, to predictable, plodding and uninspiring.

We haven't put in an excellent effort this season, the first time as such, since Pagan was involved.

Sticks and Swan appointed Malthouse.

They're all responsible.

Appointments made to cover their arses, try to show the membership they're doing something.

They don't have a plan.

The club has a white knight complex.

It isn't the 80s anymore where chequebooks ruled.

Pagan esque bombing to contests.

Let me get this right. You supported a coach who got us no where with over 100 games, high draft picks, the best player in the league and for a fair time a coleman medalist. And you won't support a coach who has a track record, 20 games, no chance to build a list and no stars and who is honest enough to face reality. At the very least give him the 3 seasons its going to take to rebuild the list
