We are the new University

MM should be playing lawn bowls

Half the list should be playing netball

Sticks should be serving drinks down at the RSL

I know that was supposed to be funny but perhaps the fact that 25% of the players on the ground don't know if they'll be there next season isn't helping their approach.
You're right. Being under the microscope and having your future worth questioned is the perfect excuse to lay down and in no way try to prove yourself.

Having your worth PUBLICLY questioned is not the same as having it privately challenged.
Good leaders/managers don't air their views on individuals in a public forum.

Basic man management skills.
Clearly the softly softly approach behind closed doors has failed, desperate measures might just be required to get this mob to wake up.

These are supposed to be professionals and grown men, not children. Frankly, I'm over giving a stuff about the players' delicate psyches, the result is a bunch of excuses for tripe like what we've just witnessed. They'll never achieve anything more than some "hey ma, look at me" moments unless they grow the !@#$%& up and take some responsibility.

I'm guessing you've never been in charge of a group of people.

Its ok we signed up Rowe already.. in case someone tries to poach him....
Hughes is still around the club... and yeah we will wait 4 years and see if Rogers nows what hes doing.
Barker and Capuano have shown enough to stay on.. and e verybody would want Greene as mids coach.

Are we serious??

What sort of a club are we???

Sticks president... ... whats the bet we wont hear peep from him

Poor players.

Play to the level expected and criticism wouldn't be warranted.

Reality is the Bulldogs are playing well they took it to the swans as well difference is with the swans you cant name many players at the swans who don't put their head over it where with us you'll be lucky to name a few that do.

Shouldn't be captain. Should never have been.

And if he wants to run around avoiding contact, he should be a runner.

Not that it's relevant here, but yes I have, and do. I've worked under tough taskmasters who rightly demand accountability and commitment. And if this doesn't happen, that person gets told to shape up if they want a future with the business. This is where success comes from, taking responsibility to better yourself, not blaming everyone but yourself.

These wimps couldn't win a 3 on 1 contest in their favour.

What has the coach got to do with that?

Pathetic bunch of so called players...whoi should not be playing in our jumper.

Do you blame Murph's effort on the coach? Walker's? etc etc

These guys are show ponies on big bucks...isnt that enough motivation.

@#$%&! them and @#$%&! the club as it stands.

I want my club back.

Has nothing to do with MM.
I saw enough last year...and heard enough too, to know Ratts wasn't the answer.

I knew we were bad !!!

But I really didnt think we are that SHIT !!!

How the @#$%&! am I supposed to encourage my 6yr old to keep following Carlton
with insipid performances like that garbage.

He wants to barrack for Geelong because thats what hears about on TV
and how they win all the time.

Might just have to let him go and barrack for who ever he wants, because I couldnt stand seeing
him disappointed with such a crap team !!!!

End of Rant !!

Being a hard taskmaster is fine but there are ways to do stuff. Even for them.
I don't doubt that people are told if they need to lift their game but do they get told by putting it on the noticeboard or are they taken aside?
MM does it in the press.
That's my point.

I see we don't care about this game. Normally the game discussion thread gets closed a nanosecond after the game ends.

It's quite possible you, yes, all of you, will be DEAD when Carlton next wins a flag, if it indeed ever happens again.
