I just hope we don't consider trading any current players, or making it clear to them that they need to bust a gut to stay on the list. Might get them sooking and running home.

Open book, take your pick other than Hendo, Tuohy, Menzel & Graham.
Trade freely.

Can't believe you left Warnock off that list. Has shown nothing in what 4? seasons now
Bootsma..not up to it
Judd, Carrots, Brock are not going to get better...in fact they are going downhill fast

Scary thing is that the drug cheats, Pies, Tiges all have good young lists; we don't

The thing is, our team now has very little curency. Yarran and Garlett, maybe Betts, and anyone silly enough to get sucked in by Gibbs is about it. It's amazing how far we've slipped. $3.30 for the flag after round 3 last year remember.......

yeah sorry, a howler on my part to leave big 206 off the list. I think the club thought we were on the verge, hence fell asleep at the wheel re youngsters. Oh sh#t, left off some more:

Mitchell
McCarthy.

that's about it then ?

I'll make it easier for you; what about everyone except

Hendo
Touhy
Walker
Kruezer
Watson
Casboult
Menzel
Bell
Graham
:yikes:

Biggest problem we have is we don't turn the list over quick enough. Now we have 10-12 players clogging the list. We could delist them all if we wanted because you'd think Judd, Scotland, Waite and maybe Carrazzo will retire end of next year.
Joseph, Ellard, Davies- on list 2 years too long. Wishful thinking they would make it.
Duigan- i know he had 1 good year but why recruit players in there mid 20's? Same as Rowe, waste of a pick. Max you will get out of them is 5 years and they are unproven at AFL level.
White- spare parts player, delist now and don't waste anymore time on him. Knowing Carlton, because he hurt his neck we will feel sorry for him and sign him for another year.
Laidler- if you can't trade him then you may aswell delist him then play him in the reserves.
Mitchell, McCarthy- haven't shown enough, move them on and try someone else. Watch us sign them for another year and they will either be injured or playing in the reserves next year.
Collins (rookie)- not AFL standard, should have traded Grigg for a pick.
O'Keeffe (rookie)- prime example of holding on to players for too long.
Dale (rookie)- hasn't shown enough in the reserves, move on.

TRADE
Hampson or Warnock- no use having 3 ruckmen when you only play 1.
Yarran, Lucas, Garlett, Bell- trade if you can get something half decent. If not keep them. All 4 are inconsistent. We need players who can perform every week.

Don't understand that one. :?

If you assume the club is run by retards, any confusion should dissipate.

spot on

we overrated our list and held on to players for too long

it's so important to trade players when they have value. For example, I would have got rid of Betts and Waite years ago when they had value

list management is not simply about cutting your list, you need to ensure you are plugging gaps to build to a premiership list and you can do this through trading. Hawthorn does this well.

you need balance on your list with an emphasis on midfielders

still don't understand why Gibbs and Kreuzer are untouchable. They have some value, particularly Kreuzer.
